Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
I've got my CJ in the paint shop now and finding I don't quite have all the decals I need. I'm doing an homage to Dan Hampton as seen in his photos from 2004 in Iraq. Got the unit markings (77th FS "Gamblers" from Authentic Decals) but not a good tail marking. The AD decals are for 91-345 on a later deployment (2011) and the aircraft had a different fit including bird slicers--all absent for the 2004 deployment. The only visible tail number I've found with Hampton from that time period is 94-044, from one of his more memorable missions. I can cobble together the "044" from the AD sheet, but not the tiny "94". I don't have anything correct on my other sheets either. Is there a 1/72 sheet with numbers in the correct gray for that time that I can get without breaking the bank? Or, maybe I should just take one of the "91's" and add other pieces of numbers to turn the "1" into a "4".... WHY IS THERE ALWAYS A CATCH....
achterkirch
Are you talking about the little 94 under the AF? If so I might be able to help you out
