Easiest way to figure it out is the make a copy, cut it out and try it.

Easiest, true, but not cheapest. Just sayin'. It's a long shot, but maybe someone out there has already tried it. As Yogi Berra used to say, "Sometimes you never know." Bobo1953
yeah. if i were to buy an hasegawa mask just to measure it, it would be worth at least to give it a try and in case intervene on the mask to adapt it. i had to do a similar adaptation process with masks for i can't remember which brand's 1/48 sbd dauntless kit in order to make them fit the monogram one; it wasn't terrible and definitely worth the pain! though, i still hope that someone has already passed through this. thank you anyway. bobo
Mizar
Italeri canopy window arrangement is different than Hasegawa one
Bobo1953
thank you mizar. do you think it makes an overall actual shape/dimensions diffference that cannot be overcome or, as i think more probable -the two kits can't either look or physically be so different from each other...-with a little patience & skill it is possible to adapt the hasegawa mask to the italeri? thanks, and happy modeling! bobo. Mizar
Can't take pics of Haseagawa clear parts due them being still sealed,I have build the Italeri kit decades ago and the mistake is still there on later moulds Hasegawa Italeri
Bobo1953
Hello mizar. Thank you very much for your kind attention and for taking the pain to add pics. Unfortunately i am away for easter holidays and from the view of my mobile i can't make out easily the details. It looks like italeri made a teethless lower side of the front windows drawing the saw pattern on the plaque below. Is it right? If so one could cut away the sawteeth pattern and make the lower part of the mask straight. Please let me know if i'm correct. :-) Anyway by next tuesday i will be back home so i could look at the pics more precisely. Then i, will let you know... ;-) Again, thanks a lot. Happy modeling...and happy easter! Sincerely, bobo.
