F4DPhantomII
How can one tell the 1st issue from the corrected issue in an unopened box? Thanks.
IAGeezer
If nothing else, this will bump the thread to the top, BUT, what was wrong with the first issue, and what were the corrections? Any links available? Sorry for not being of any real help here... Scott
F4DPhantomII
The nose was mishapen and was supposed to jave been corrected in later boxings.
jester292
The first issue had an incorrect nose shape. Also the vertical stabilizers were too short. Not sure if Academy corrected the vertical stabilizers, but later issues of the kit have a more correct nose shape.
flybywire
Any indicator on the box that it has indeed been corrected without checking the sprues?
Mr Matt Foley
Is the Hasegawa F-22 still the best 1/48th out there?

Not that I know of. 4 hours ago, Mr Matt Foley said: Is the Hasegawa F-22 still the best 1/48th out there? Yes, in my opinion. Many people can't stand the overstated surface details. However, and again this is my opinion, the detail included in Hasegawa's 1:48 F-22 more than makes up for the "armor" plating. Not to mention academy's shape issues. Hasegawa for me, by far, is the better kit.
F4DPhantomII
I too think it is the best so far.I have both Academy early release and Hasegawa's kits.
