Berkut
Mostly OOB. Some modifications and added detail like resin seat, thinned stinger sides (too thick in the kit oob), wires on the landing gears and static dischargers on elevators and wings. The exhaust are stolen from Zvezda T-50 (pretty much all that kit is good for) since the ones OOB are way too narrow (as if they are in flight mode). Decals are mixed between Hasegawa and Begemot. All the pictures in an album here. Edited April 23, 2017 by Berkut
janman
That's a nice looking Sukhoi! AKAN paints or what?
Berkut
Couple more side pictures since i got told mine are very top view heavy. :P The paints used throughout the build were mostly Vallejo. The dark blue is AKAN 73064, light blue is deep sky blue 066/70844 and the light gray is pale greyblue 153/70907. Edited April 23, 2017 by Berkut

Sebastijan
Cool job and nice to see her finally finished! It's a shame white balance settings are not optimized, throwing off the colours a bit.

RKic
Very nice, Berkut. What was your masking method to achieve those nice round curves?
Berkut
Rolled up bluetack and used them as outline. One adjusts the spraying angle depending on how hard edge should be. If one wants to have a "soft" edge then one sprays at a right angle compared to the bluetack sausages. If one wants to have a sharp edge one has to spray "under" the bluetack.
