Floquil paint problem / question

Recommended Posts

I'm working on a large, studio scale (32") Millennium Falcon and have acquired some original Floquil paints that match what was used in the movie.

I've also got some Floquil thinner (the old can with the vintage train on the front), and some newer F.T. in the small jars and used that.

The paints are all in good condition - no problem with that at all.

I'm using an Iwata HP-CS airbrush with a .3 needle

I thinned the paint like "normal" - but it was really hard to spray - it would only come out in bursts.

I then thinned it a great deal - and it sprayed OK - but not great.  Do you think the needle is too small for this paint?

I really don't use these paints - but really would like to on this particular project for authenticity.

Thanks for any advice :)
