scorvi
I am looking for the Doyusha/Nitto 1/200 DC-8 model kit. I only need the plastic so box, decals and instructions are not important. WIll consider a started one but depends on work done?? IF anyone has one to sell or trade (I have both 1/48 & 1/72 kits and aftermarkets) please email me directly: scorvi@verizon.net I am in the USA Thanks Steve,
AV O
Hi, Concerning this kit, as it is a -61 series. (wingspan 142.4 ft - 43.4 m) Would anyone know how the wing is longer to get a -63 series (wingspan 148.4 ft - 45.2 m). Is it an insert before the tip, or an added part at the tip, making it longer and thinner ? A diagram showing the difference would be welcome. I did search for one but could not succeed. (As for the engine pylons shape if possible). Thank you . AV O
scotty100368
There's a DC-8 wing diagram on page 3 of this thread: Scott.
AV O
Thank you very much indeed. Very helpful. The topic title doesn't really lead to a DC-8 query, does it ? AV O Edited December 9, 2018 by AV O

AV O
Again, many thanks to Scott for his helpful research for this document. There she is now waiting for a livery... If any one should use this diagram, please note that the drawing shows the real wing size, not a model kit wing itself as on a model, a part of the wing/body fairing is in some cases (here - Doyusha/Nitto 1/200- ) part of the fuselage. After reducing the drawing to scale, I used the trailing edge kink as a reference. Engines are BraZ. They lack the strakes. Edited September 17, 2022 by AV O
