Scooby
Hi all, I understand which exhaust or wheels to select, how do I determine which ejection seat is installed? Are the seats related to the block numbers? TIA
habu2
All production F-16s have ACES II seats. Over time there was a change in how the air data tubes on top of the seat were mounted, and the cushions changed from olive drab fabric to black sheepskin, but AFAIK they were all otherwise the same. The first eight FSD jets (75-07xx) initially had Stencel S-III-S seats but most of them were replaced with ACES as development progressed. The two YF prototypes had ESCAPAC seats. Scooby
Thanks Habu, I think the only change Eduard made was with the seat cushion. I am guessing it is the late seat from your description that is currently installed.
Ilias
Eduard offers 3 brassin sets, 648 001 and 648 008 both for the Tamiya kit as well as 648 013 for the Kinetic kit. 648 013 has an extra piece, R5 that represents the "sheepskin" texture of the later versions. This is for the back cushion only. However, the seat pan consists of the same material. Here are the 648 013 product leaflet: https://www.eduard.com/store/out/media/648013.pdf The product picture does not illustrate accurately the actual R5 surface. I should have mentioned that I was referring to the Tamiya options. Thank you for this information.
