my favs are F`s
The big updade is going nicely... So besides from the major edit (conversion) of the upper fuselage, a couple of small things are done too. The IR pod with the sensor and the transparent covering. It is yet to be tinted and the fraime to be painted, nevertheless:

my favs are F`s
How are the intakes looking now.... Btw i easily put off asside the idea of blending PE parts into tips of the edges, after having to "deal" with the tiny space from the inner side during the sanding. The tips are sharp and quite solid even like that, but they are still bare plastic. I have to avoid touching them. Edited March 11, 2018 by my favs are F`s
my favs are F`s
And just one of the real deal, for comparison:

my favs are F`s
Intakes and Silhouettess. The compressor faces are just prints of the PW F119 engines. Let`s say that the production variant F-23 would have the F-22`s engines as well...
my favs are F`s
And here are a couple of proper silhouettes with the 2 halves of the fuselage glued, the nose testfitted, and w/ landing gear up and down: * the tires are only fitted for the pics ;)

kurnass77
What a job! Undoubtely, from a aestethic point of view, the f-23 was the real winner of the ATF project! So sci-fi and sexy.... Gianni

my favs are F`s
The nose section is glued, and the conversion is is actually complete. This is how it looks halfway through the addition of volume: And after all the sanding and fine edits: It`s quite smooth, but still some very gentle oil canning is spotted everywhere. :) It`s just another method to add oil canning.
