757flyer
Recently had 4 -D models (or -Es?) visit my home airport. The tail numbers were 43028, 43032, 43035 and 43036. I can't find any -D or -E serials that include a 4 and the 30XX numbers in them from the usual lists of FY serials. Anyone have an idea what the true serials of these birds might be? Thanks in advance for any help! At least wo of them wore 101st patches on the forward sponsons. Mike Edited June 24, 2017 by 757flyer
Koen L
14-03028, 14-03032, 14-03035, 14-03036. All are E-models.
habu2
When A models were upgraded to Ds they got new serial numbers. I assume same happened when Ds became Es...
757flyer
Many thanks! My usual go-to for FY serials didn't have the 14-3XXX ones for the AH-64s. After some more digging today, I did find 14-03015 with a manufacturer serial of NM015. I am guessing the ones I saw are from this batch. There are some FY'14 AH-64Es with MM0XX manufacturer serials (14-01014 is MM-014, etc) that are specified as New Builds. I assume maybe the NM ones are upgrades of existing -D frames, whereas MM ones are new builds? Thanks again for your help!
Koen L
As you probably expected, the construction numbers for the 4 you saw are NM028, NM032, NM035 and NM036.
