Got a limited edition 1/48 Eduard NATO Falcon kit and I was wondering if it needs a seamless intake? I

have never built a Kinetic kit and was wondering if the kit parts are ok or do I need to replace them?

As Lex pointed out, latex house paint can make a truly seamless intake. In addition to smoothness, the latex paint also deals with painting, which would otherwise be tricky.

I didn't use that technique, however, and did achieve a sufficiently smooth intake on my Kinetic F-16. At the end of the day, it was probably be more effort for a lesser result, but it was just puttying and smoothing. To smooth the Tamiya fine putty, I first used cotton buds with Mr Thinner to get the seam more or less smooth. Abrasive pads were used for the final feathering.
