Spectre711
I've been using Photobucket for a little ng time and like how I could have albums and sub-albums. I also liked how I could store images for free and could link the images to web pages and auctions up untill resently. Looking for a hosting site that kind of works the way PB used to work before they did their upgrades and screwed everything up.
dnl42
postimage.org has albums. No clue about "sub-albums". MOST IMPORTANTLY, they don't make you play whack-a-mole with ads. Simple to use. My recent builds and sig are all from postimage.
AX 365
I deleted all my photos and closed my PB account last night. Their latest antics have caused me to tell them to get stuffed. I opened a Flickr account last year and have been practicing with all the ins and outs of that site and I like it more than PB.
Spectre711
I opened a flicker account a while back but didn't play with it much. Do you know if they just have a general album or can I make separate ones
Ken Cartwright
As far as I know, Imgur is free, and generally works pretty well: http://imgur.com/ Here's a link to one of my photos there, so see how it works:
AX 365
Spectre...you can create your own sub albums in Flickr. Mike

Lancer512
You might want to read the fine-print of the above mentioned hosts about 3rd party linking before you join any of them.

Fighting Eighty-Four
I like imgur, but for model stuff I just use https://www.scalemates.com/ - All of my linked pics here are from there. It is good for hosting pics, documenting WIPs, tracking and maintaining your stash and wishlist, and making friends from all around the world.
CorsairMan
So what exactly changed with PB?

Mate they have decided to dump all pre existing plans and change their T and C's. Once you reach your bandwidth limit, they will not show your photos in any post. New pricing schemes starting at US $50 but not offering much.Basically only offering "3rd party hosting" if you fork over US $400 a year. Many, many unhappy customers who are balking at the price (rightly so) and jumping ship. Been likened to being held to ransom. Poor notification and business practice. I and others can still see and post but once those pictures become popular, you are blocked. Many of the fora are carrying threads about it. Regards,
Ken Cartwright
For less than $400 per year, you can get your own domain, so I don't get what PB is thinking.

I imagine their price point is not based on competing hosting services but instead on their estimate of unrealized revenue (due to third party links) from the excessive amount of ads spamming evey PB page. Maybe, but if they don't factor in what people can get elsewhere for less money they'll kill their business, and you'd expect any competently run business to have done that before setting those prices.
