shion
It depends on the a/c: exhaust on the right: Exhaust on the bottom: Same exhaust, better view: Exhaust on the left: And of course, the pointy tip. So, KH did their homework.
flybywire
Did they include the curved wingtip fillets mentioned by Flankerman earlier? Is it an integral part for the Su-34? Edited June 7, 2018 by flybywire

Producing an injected plastic kit is engineering and engineering is the art of making compromises. If KH wanted to depict accurately the stinger tip, they would have had to use slide molds to represent the top and bottom surface details (à la AMK "single-piece" missile ) or provide a resin part. Less ideal option would have been to make a separate part for the tip but then perhaps there wasn't enough space left on the sprues. Mstor
1 hour ago, shion said: It depends on the a/c: I stand corrected Sir. Your Su-34 Foo is better than mine ☺️. I guess Sukhoi couldn't make up their mind when it came to the tail So, seriously, timeline wise, what are we looking at on the KH kit? On facebook, someone mentioned it was a mish mash of old and new versions of the aircraft and could not, as is, be built as one of the aircraft used in the Syrian campaign. Obviously the tail boom has been modeled to capture one specific version, and that there have been a number of changes made.

From kit photos so far, no, no fillets. There are Su-34s without the fillet. I don't know if those are an earlier version or what.
Mstor
Neat photo of a Su-34 on the production line showing the APU in the tail boom...

Hello, sorry, but i don't understand the need of slide molds for this part. KD made a 3 part-assembly, with exhausts in PE. For me, it's enough, accurate and the best design you can choose. Mstor
My main concern is that I want a current production model, not a pre-production or prototype. This aircraft has spent well over a decade in development and there have been many prototypes built. Many of the photos out there are of prototype/pre-production airframes that were built over the years. I would like to have a kit that represents what we were seeing in Syria. Caveat: I know there have probably been changes since the initial "full scale development" run and I am not sure if those effect what we would be seeing in a production aircraft. Raptor01
I will get one, it is not a priority since I have finished the Hobby Boss version. This one looks to have different challenges in assembly. I will build this in the Eggplant scheme. John
