CanadaMoe
Hello Everyone, Would love to join in on this GB. I'm going to OOB with the airfix typhoon (1/72) with kit decals. I have to sort out this 3rd party hosting picture issue, then I can post some pic of my progress.
RCAFFAN
Just remember that Canadian Squadrons only trained to drop bombs, not rockets. P.S. If I recall correctly the red kill marking on the Airfix scheme is for a 262 while the other two black ones are for prop kills..... CanadaMoe
Yes, did that much of my research already. Canadian pilots flew the "Bombphoons". Got my hole drilled out for the bomb pylons. Didn't know about the kill markings. Thanks for the info. Here's some initial pic of progress. (actually just wanted to try image posting from Imgur...) Trojan Thunder
Didn't know that decals for this kit were for a Canadian bird, might try and hunt one down.

CanadaMoe
Ok, don't know if I want to admit this... I goofed!!!! Was watching a Youtube video on construction of the kit and noticed that when the person covered the wings the cannons were on.... Well, here's my version of the covered wings. I think I can put some sort of plug in, drill locating holes and just insert just the cannons. Stay tuned....

dogsbody
Nice! Did the base come with the grass on it or did you put it on the base? Chris
CanadaMoe
Hey Chris. The base was a DIY project. It's many years old, and the sponge is starting to fall apart. I had to re-glue several of the "shrubs" before taking the pics. It serves it's purpose.
