Chris there are three main factors that come into play on what resolution is best for posting images on an 3rd party hosting site that in this case we see here on ARC. 1- The largest resolution that the service will allow for uploading. Today the resolutions are much greater then previously. Old school max was 1024x768. 2- The largest resolution that the forum/site allows for any number of reasons with bandwidth monthly restrictions/caps/over charges from their hosting site being the major factors. 3- the monitor specifications of the end user. the newer the monitor, the higher the recommended resolution is. Higher resolution means a smaller, more detailed image, as the diagonal measurement of the newer screens are that much larger.
