The Yeager sheet is a good idea but it some time has to pass because  a) it would be crass commercialism to rush a decal sheet to the market after his death, b) I would need to do a good amount of research to get things right.

I will put it on the to do list, and hopefully we can have a sheet that will make justice to the memory of a great American hero on time for the first or second anniversary of his passing.

You also want to be very careful to not get within the crosshairs of his widow/last wife Virginia. She is apparently money mad and caused a few waves a few years back threatening to sue for royalties on products that contained markings that Chuck flew.

A prime example was the Pegasus 1/18 X-1 kit they did. The first issues have Glamorous Glennis on the box art and on the decal sheet. But she apparently got in touch with them, so many of the late issues had a Sharpie taken to the box art and the nose art might have been cut from them.

Of course, with Revell doing a Glamorous Glennis Bell X-1 in 1/32 now and Eduard doing their repop of the 1/48 in 2016, maybe Virginia only targeted Pegasus since they are based in California.

Apparently, there's a new 1/48 OV-10A and D+ Bronco inbound from ICM...just sayin'...

I'd just be happy with a reprint of the last OV-10 decals you did.

Sheets I kept thinking I'll pick them up, but never did for some reason then they were OOP everywhere.

The OV-10 reprint is a sure thing - it was a very successful item even with nothing except the old Hawk kit in the market, and should be even better with a new kit in the market. I will probably improve on the design a bit by adding a walkway sheet.

The B-26K would be a great subject as well, but I need to see what ICM will put on the kit decal sheet. The range of possible options there is a bit limited. Perhaps a better choice would be to put it a couple B-26K options on the Invader sheet that I will be doing.

Maybe with some Desert Storm options added?

Y'know what would be cool? Markings for the first OV-10As with the "Tri-Service" markings, as see here. At least for the 1/72 sheet.  😇

1/48 F-89 Scorpions (C, D & Js) and CF-100s. Prices for existing decals on eBay, if you can even find them, are insane. $40+.

Can't see many decal companies doing CF-100s anymore. They are getting real hard to find. Those and Tutors can set you back more money then they are worth. Sad, as there were SO many cool schemes.

The Scorpion sheets are in the works - hopefully coming in the second half of the year. I will need to think about the CF-100 decals : while I really like the "Clunk",  I am not sure of its appeal outside Canada- you might have noticed I mostly stuck to US-only subjects since the beginning of the pandemic as shipping problems had an impact on international sales.

Kursad,

It is true that of the 692 CF-100 Canucks built, almost all served with the RCAF from 1952-1968 and a few continued to solder on with the CAF from 1968-1982.  Fifty-three MK.5s flew for Belgium in three squadrons from 1957-1962. (One crashed prior to delivery.)  Consider that that both Hobbycraft released several thousand kits & Astra a few hundred in 1/72 scale and Hobbycraft also released several hundred in 1/48 scale. Consider also that the Hobbycraft decals were essentially useless from the start.  Next consider that Skylancers only released approximately 500 sets of the very limited CF-100 Mk.5 decal in 1/72 scale covering 428, 413, & 425 Sqns and Modeldecal (UK) released set 100 (also 1/72) with markings for the three Belgian Sqns.  Arrow Graphics released several one off subject sheets in both 1/72 & 1/48 scales covering a few select sqns and color schemes, however, their method of printing on continuous clear film put some off from using them. (I did use them them over 25 years ago on my own CF-100 Mk.4B in 440 Sqn marks.) This may explain why so few Clunk kits were ever built (Shawn Weiler excepted) and are probably still haunting model stash closets all over the the free world.  Lastly, consider that the CF-100 was the contemporary of many US ADC intercepters, such as: F-86D/L Sabre Dog, F-89 Scorpion, F-94 Starfire, F-101 Voodoo, F-102 Delta Dagger, F-104 Starfighter, F-106 Delta Dart, and yes, even the F-15A/C Eagle, although in an airborne jammer role!  The Clunk has had a long and illustrious career.  You have done other Canadian subjects, albeit, as one or two markngs on a sheet with other subjects.  So, why not go for the Clunk?  It could be a slam dunk!

Yours truly,

Dutch

If you end up turning out any more 1/72 F-16 ANG units, I'm still DESPERATE for Vermont's (134th) GE-powered big-mouthed C versions.  It's the only (glaring) hole in my otherwise complete Vermont ANG collection, and it's the aircraft they flew the longest, with the most photos available.  Wolfpak had some similar markings for their early PW-powered C's, but they're not the same markings.

First pic is their hi-vis show bird.  The second pic, 262, is a MiG-23 killer....
