I noticed in going through the website there are no F-4G represented.  I have heard rumors of a new release by Zoukei Mura.  Maybe?

I have an F-4G sheet in design phase, too early to announce a possible release date.

And I have a QF-4G set on the way after the imminent release of the QF-4E sets for CD48197 🙂

Looking at the F-16 Group Build, I would really love to have updated decals for de ADF versions. There are a lot of cool looking versions!

F-16 is in my top 3 aircraft. So I'm anxiously awaiting the reprint of "Caracal Models CD72103 - F-16 "Viper" - The Early Years". Since I didn't get them and "Caracal Models CD72031 - F-16 CAS Vipers". :,(
So even though Kursad has stated that 'The early years' would be reprinted, I would like to propose another F-16 subject. FSD aircraft AND other early-ish testers. A sort of 'The Early Years - Part 2 ...and beyond'

This Picture is from F-16.net.

https://www.f-16.net/g3/var/resizes/f-16-photos/album11/album12/abc.jpg?m=1371929507
The picture isn't showing them in their dull... I mean FULL glory but gives a brief overview of the FSD aircrafts and their variations. Most FSD airframes wore a single overall grey scheme. Offcourse there are minor variations like radome color or warningstencil background colors etc. Even as the aircraft ages they receive modifications and other variations to the look. After an afternoon searching the internet I believe that with thorough research and smart planing it would be possible to represent most if not all FSD aircraft in a minimal space on a decal sheet (as to leave room for other subjects). All FSD, exept no3 and no7 were painted in grey 36270. Most use full color warning markings and have a black radome.
FSD no 1 75-0745  : is already covered in CD72103
FSD no 2 75-0746 : Grey radome. This aircraft later received a parabrake housing and an a blue 'Edwards colorband'
FSD no 3 75-0747 : Unique camo of Dark grey FS36076 with Light grey FS36270 on top and everything thing below the wing line were FS36440 except the outsides of the ventral fins which were FS36270. Later converted to F-16XL-2
FSD no 4 75-0748 : Grey 36270, dark grey warning markings (although in this bad resolution picture it looks like full color warning markings).

FSD no 5 75-0749 : Grey 36270, full color warning markings. Later converted to F-16XL-1
FSD no 6 75-0750 : Grey 36270, dark grey warning markings. This aircraft was later converted to AFTI (covered in CD72103)
FSD no 7 75-0751 : First two seater. Same colors as No 3 but a different pattern. Starting to resemble the generic F-16 Hill one. Black radome, full color warning markings.
FSD no 8 75-0752 : Second two seater. Overall grey. Later converted to F-16/79 (covered in CD72103). And even later reverted the inlet and got a F-100PW-220 with a Euro 1 camouflague used in CAS program(Covered in CD72031).
As not to clutter with a lot of pictures I think these two following should be enough to represent the FSD aircrafts for now.

Well the list goes on so I'm just gonna stop here for now.
Like I previously said that with thorough research and smart planing it would be possible to represent most if not all FSD aircraft in a minimal space on a decal sheet, as to leave room for other subjects.

BTW Kursad what sofware do you use when designing your decal sheets?

Woohoo! I have wanted to do a Sabreliner sheet for a long time; there are so many possibilities.

What about a generic sheet for all the decals on ejection seats used in the western world? Would be great as a lot of kits and decal sheets don't supply these important and always visible details.

Not really something I want to think about, but Heaven forbid that this forum should expire and go dark as is being discussed in the General section; the loss of this manufacturer sub forum alone would be a monumental disaster and I'm not sure how we would continue to interact with Kursad on future projects.  I know nobody else wants to consider it, but well, has it come to mind for anyone else?  The references, information, and overall community that exist in here are more than half the reason I check in on ARC.  Let's all hope it isn't headed in a negative direction, and that Steve is willing to keep it going.

I am also following the relevant thread; obviously I am concerned, both as a looong-time (20+ years?) contributor and a (paying) sponsor who relies on this forum for communications. If the worst happens, I am pretty sure we will figure out a replacement - I can either spin up a Caracal Models forum (something I would rather not do, considering the time and effort involved in policing it) or arrange another manufacturer subforum in another community. At any rate I am not about to give up on our community easily; and will allocate the resources needed to keep the interaction going.

I think a Facebook page could give us the same interaction and at the very least, a reliable platform. I'm also concerned that the forum will go away, mainly it's competing with multiple Facebook groups and the lack of attention given to the site by Steve. Furball, Bullseye, Twobobs, and others have Facebook pages to discuss things, probably a good time to start one!

Just my 2 cents.

Unfortunately not everyone does or wants to do Farcebook (yes spelt correctly) and the like. Could you get a manufacturers area on Britmodeller?

I have Facebook but only use it for news from various manufacturers. From a usability standpoint alone, a forum would be far better. Facebook is terrible for presenting things in an order that makes sense, or from the standpoint of searching for information. I am in awe at how bad their buy/sell groups are. How does it make sense to show posts in any other order than chronologically??

Another vote down for fakebook.

This works well. If it can't work here try another forum as suggested above, or maybe through Scalemates. Not farcebook though. For the love of God nooo....

What?  Engage with customers on a website where you can get banned for disagreeing with the webmasters "darlings"?

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt!

I actually got far more modelling done afterwards, instead of spending so much time reading and writing about it...

Oh, and another 'No' vote to a FB alternative to here, too...
