KursadA
Some really good ideas posted in the last months - I am working on a few of them and will announce them when they are ready.
eraucubsfan
Not sure if requested already but how about some USCG Herks
Curt
A USCG sheet could include HC-27Js as well.
Tracy White
Didn't see this F-15 mentioned - in case you consider another F-15C sheet: https://laststandonzombieisland.com/2022/11/08/the-most-patriotic-f-15-ever/
Spruemeister
How many stripes do they think are on the US flag? Rick L.
Tracy White
ALL THE STRIPES!!! In looking it over (and I may be overthinking / overanalyzing), I think the decision was made to scale the stripes with the stars. If they roughly doubled the size of the stripes, the stars would look too small. It's personally a little too busy for me and I don't like designs that end abruptly at the radome, but it is certainly striking and I figured someone might be interested.... habu2
Patriotic, yes, but to me this looks like a G I Joe toy..... 👀
Paul Boyer
Aircraft can't be patriotic. People with flags and banners only look patriotic. It is in the deeds we do that we can find patriotism.
Dutch
It is a little over the top, but then I built F-4J 153088 in VX-4 bicentennial markings in both 1/72 & 1/48 (it had the correct 13 stripes).
AD-4N
Yeah, I am not into commemorative one-offs. I don't even like Wing Kings or CAGs birds all dolled up. I prefer line jets. But that is just me. Your mileage may vary. 😁
Falcon053
How about some Finnish Air Force F/A-18s, the subject has hardly ever been done, there markings are very limited, but they have a couple of jets with a really nice tail art, they had a demo at RIAT a few days ago. Ive seen pictures of at least 2 jets sporting these. https://www.airplane-pictures.net/photo/1482997/hn-421-finland-air-force-mcdonnell-douglas-f-18c-hornet/
Dan Tinklepaugh
Love to see some 1/32 av8b Harrier stencils in both black for early versions and gray for latest before I croak. Should be a simple sheet as squadron markings are not necessary. Edited July 22, 2023 by Dan Tinklepaugh
stu_fishing
Well, putting all those Teen Fighters Early years + Hogs etc. already available, downscaled onto one 144 Scale sheet..that is something I would be all over.... Should not be too much of a hassle as there is not really anything that needs to be fitted to a special kit. And then dark vipers, next gen eagles, SEA- anniversary birds, Aggresors..more or less anything in 144 😉

You may not be able to fit all the early years sheets onto one 1/144 sheet, but possibly two aircraft per sheet: F-14 & F-15 on one sheet, then F-16 & F/A-18 on a second. That way, you have an Air Force and Navy aircraft per sheet. And there are multiple kits available that would be easily backdated to the prototypes. My thoughts. Loach Driver
An "early-years" 1/144 sheet would be very interesting and sounds like a great idea! LD.

Correct, it's F-15B 71-0291, unless there was more than one bicentennial scheme which I highly doubt. It later did duty as the prototype for the E model...as disturbing as that is considering the design team literally said "not a pound for air to ground". The A and C are the pure form of the FX concept, the others (E and EX) are from too many fingers in the pie and the reason they work so well is only due to the high standard of the original concept. habu2
As one of the FSD prototypes I believe it was called a TF-15A at the time. The production two-seaters were the "first" F-15B airframes.
Dutch
@KursadA, If you ever do another KC-135R sheet, how about some MacDill 6th AMW love? And some Meta (now Metrea) Aerospace love? [Side note: My former employer was bought by Metrea late last year.] Here is N569MA. And this is N572MA in new 3-tone "Agean Ghost" camouflage scheme. (Photo by Mark Chen.) UNLISTED
@Dutch That bottom one looks like the SIOP scheme from the 70's & early 80's. Edited July 27, 2023 by UNLISTED
fessSto
@KursadA I know you've been busy lately but wondering if you have any updates on the release of the 1/72 F-105D sheet. Also, curious about the status of CD 72072 Sikorsky H-34 sheet. I have a H-34 in my stash just begging to be built in USAF rescue markings.
