On two of my several trips to Ft Bragg/Pope AFB I spotted CACA 212's on the Pope side.  The shot of 159 was taken in Sep 1988, 158 in 1991.

Rumor around Pope was the birds were purchased for "special projects" then when they were "open", they were used for paradrops and tests.1381344543_CASA_212_87-0158427thSOSatPopeAFBNorthCarolina.thumb.jpg.3d9972c6cf33012ac2dccf789613e7db.jpg1690724493_CASA_212_87-0159427thSOSatPopeAFBNorthCarolinaSep-01-88.thumb.jpg.b294cc20dfece62c78c9865e8baf39f3.jpgCASA_212_87-0159_Bragg_Sep-01-88_SM.thumb.jpg.72231b085b3e3876f5bcb9ef9407ad7c.jpg

0158 MSN 320, was N214TA. To Drug Enforcement Agency in May 1988 then to 427th SOS at Pope AFB, North Carolina.

0159 MSN 328, was N215TA. Operated by US Army at Laguna AAF. To Drug Enforcement Agency then to 427th

With now the current Bomber trio having multiple nice new kits over the last years and with the Academy B-2A on the horizon, a combined sheet 1/144 of the Edwards based heavy testers would be a great thing, with all the stencils being already available and the birds themselves not having too many different markings. Maybe including the short lived NASA B-52H in white with blue stripe... or as hidden Easter egg having one or the other Edwards based fighters as chase plane downscaled to 144 on the sheet ...

Just trying to send those positive waves your way! Woof, woof, woof!

Hey Dutch! What make is that CATB 737? If decal ever got done for it, I'd be all over it if it were a 700/800. Thanks, Fred.

Disregard my previous post Dutch..... it's a 737-330. I guess I'm safe until someone comes out with a kit in 1/72nd scale too 🤣 Fred.

@P-38 guy  Mike,  That will be a nice decal option for a follow-on KC-135R sheet by Caracal.  I think that we have suggested a number of colorful options for Kursad.  Let's see if he takes the bait. 😉

So speaking of the KC-135R & E models, can we have markings for a “Shamu” Camo scheme?  I know I can go out and buy the Roden kit but I already have the Academy KC-135E&R kits.  I want them to join my Revell KC-10A with Shamu Camo scheme.

US Army F-51D, 68-15795 & 15796 operated up to at least 1975.

15796 is presently at the Minnesota ANG Museum, St Paul, Minnesota marked as 475024.  Was at the Fr Rucker Museum.  Flew at China Lake with 105mm Recoilless Rifles on the wingtips.

15795 ended up at Eglin AFB, FL marked as 413571.

Both AC were used as chase planes to the AH-56 Cheyanne.  At least one was at Edward AFB in Dec 1975.  Although at the time they had an issue with it as they were off the coast and lost half the engine.

One AC was previously registered as N6851D.  Both are Cavalear Mustangs.

A number of AC were contracted for Cavalier conversions for the Air Force, and were transferred to the Bolivian AF in 1968.  In this shot they are still under USAF Livery.  67-14863 is in the foreground.

67-14862/14864, 67-14865/14866, 67-22579/22581, 67-22582,

USA AC shots are via the Ft Rucker Test board at Ft Rucker, circa 1968.  the USAF shot is from Aviation Week and Space Technology.

And finally, a straight F-51D at Ft Rucker.  44-72990 probably circa 1773

With the announcement of the X-Scale 1/144 737-200, how about military versions:  USAF, Mexico, India, Peru, and Brazil?

Don't forget Indonesia.

Indeed, but that would require 1/144 scratch building or resin lumps and bumps that I don’t know exist,

I was just going for military decals for vanilla 737-200s.

Something I think would be very popular with the new X Scale models 707-120 kit.  That is a decal for the USAF VC-137A/B aircraft in both MATS, Presidential use as the first jet Air Force One in the striking color scheme of blue and powder blue used by Kennedy until replaced as the prime aircraft with delivery of the VC-137C in late Oct 1962.  Then the color schemes worn as VIP aircraft later in life.  The way the X Scale models kit is designed a fanjet powered tall fin variant will follow soon.  If you need a kit to fit to let me know I have a couple now on my shelf and I will gladly send you one.
