crobinsonh
Hi, I have this model and the 'Huff' decals for a F-86F-30 in 1953 (?). When I look at the various references I am confused over cockpit and U/C bay colours. Squadron has the U/C bay a interior green and states that "The USAF began to phase out the user of interior green in 1953. Later cockpits were painted interior gray. Instrument panels and consoles remain black. I also have the Osprey book - The F-86 Sabre fighter-bomber units over Korea where all shots are in colour. This shows ejectors seats as black as well as the instrument panel and open gun bays in black - although some other shots seem to show the ejector seat is interior gray (outside shots showing the top part of the ejector seat). Any and all help would be gratefully received!
Snowbird3a
'The Huff' was a F-86F-1 and the cockpit was black(from photos). Seat headrest was a gray. You can't go wrong by painting the wheel bays an Interior Green color. Cheers ,Tony
