I’m not a pilot for the Air Force but more thrust is always welcomed -220. 14,590 pounds-force (64.9 kN) military thrust, 23,770 pounds-force (105.7 kN) with afterburner -229. 17,800 pounds-force (79 kN) military thrust, 29,160 pounds-force (129.7 kN) with afterburner
DarkKnight
wow, big difference, wonder if any plans to update the SJ birds

I believe all the 229 birds came from the factory that way and any 220 are most likely to stay that way at least for the time being.
Mr Matt Foley
Are the Seymour Birds getting the APG-82 upgrade?

We need some upgrades available for the kits on the market. Especially the Revell and Tamiya offerings unless GWH would give us a current Echo. That Eagle in the photo looks strange without the CFT's.
Niels
The GWH F-15I can easily be buildt as an F-15E ;)
Mr Matt Foley
Just now, Niels said: The GWH F-15I can easily be buildt as an F-15E ;) No AESA Radar though. No current Radome and I would imagine the cockpit is different. A new release with the upgraded USAF parts, Antennae, ECM et.al would be nice. They have many of the parts already in the F-15J and C kits.
Niels
But they have the radome with the strakes, so beg to differ http://www.modelwork.pl/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=54196&hilit=kalki&p=787359&view=show#p787359 Edited April 7, 2018 by Niels

flanker27
yes the GW 1/48 F-15I comes with two random, one without the lightning strips and one with
Mr Matt Foley
Ordered the GWH F-15I. Now I just need to get a hold of the F-15C to borrow the AESA. It might not be "exac" but pretty close.
Solo
As I know, this F-15I kit has got instrumental panels both for F-15E, not proper for F-15I. Am I rigth?
