1/48 - Sukhoi Su-35 "Flanker-E" by Great Wall Hobby

Recommended Posts

So my Su -35 arrived today ... that's 6 days from shipping notice (Seattle, WA area).  Is HobbyEasy always that fast on shipping?

Really happy with what I see in the box, even the much talked about panel lines aft of the cockpit area.

My HobbyEasy order is only 2 or 3 days away from me now, based on tracking. I have an order in with Hobbysearch too (just in case). I wrote them and they said it "is scheduled to be released on 23rd February".  Looking forward to getting my hands on the kit. Will probably sell one of them.

Mine arrived as well - it's an amazing kit!

The level of detail (especially around the cockpit) has to be seen to be believed... and don't stress about the much-maligned panel line across the upper fuselage: it's slightly too heavy, but I reckon it'll look almost perfect under some paint.  The photos that were posted here seemed to exaggerate it's depth/width... it doesn't look like a major problem in the flesh.

Well done GWH - we need an Su-30SM next!

You know one of the best things about this kit?  One of our own had a big hand in making it a reality.  @ya-gabor deserves to be recognised for his expertise and hard work - thank you, mate!  You can be proud of what you've achieved here... and I'm sure every single one of us who buys this kit will appreciate your attention to detail, and your efforts to ensure that we have a kit of such high quality.

Like Berkut and his contribution to the AMK MiG-31, I'm simply amazed that we have members who dedicate so much time and effort into things like this.  Despite the "healthy" debates which sometimes ensue, the end results speak for themselves.  Thanks guys.

get mine too and I'm agree with you, thanks guys. By the way, I compare the KH's kit and it wasn't that bad too, some details are miss and I don't know is it really accurate, but a kit still be a kit and I'm happy to have the great GWM's su-35 and the KH's chinese's SU-35 too.

No any manufacture is interesting for Saab viggen's family?

Have you looked at the Tarangus/Special Hobby Viggen kits? They are pretty well done, very detailed, but pricey. There are also some inaccuracies that need fixing but Meastro makes a bunch of aftermarket for the kits to correct most of the problems.

Now, back to the GWH Su-35 kit. I'm still waiting on mine. You guys are making me jealous! :crying:

Mine arrived at my house in Canada, I think mine shipped a day after yours. :monkeydance:

Must be a North American invasion of Su-35s from HobbyEasy! Big box as expected, they couldn't have made the box any smaller.

Yeah, got mine on Monday, but being about 6000 miles away from home all I have left is listening to Bears and Blackjacks from other side of Volga.

Seems like a decent trade off to me.

I'll also add in my approval of this kit too. It is an amazing looking kit for the detail and if it fits as good as it looks it would be in the running for kit of the year in my opinion.  I liked building the 2 GWH mig-29s sitting on my shelf and have 5 more on the stash pile so I am pretty optimistic on the flanker.  I will probably get at least another one if not 3 or 4 of these Su-35..

Thanks Ya-gabor for helping get this kit into production. .

I’ve been drooling over this kit all night, what a gem!

I just placed a Mr. Paint order for their Sukhoi paints.
