Inquisitor
Seems some reviewers got their early samples. Here's a test fit review at the modelling news site: https://www.themodellingnews.com/2021/01/test-kit-dry-fit-review-48th-scale.html
ijozic
Wow. It seems super overengineered, but in a good way. From the quick look over it, I would have preferred separate instrument decals (like GWH did on their MiG-29 kit) and perhaps a PE glare shield for the cockpit with a plastic alternative, but it's impressive. Hope it sells well enough so we might get to see more of such insanity. I'm surprised that the cockpit is so different between it and the Kinetic, though. The weapon options page seems obviously wrong regarding the placement of IR guided Alamo variants, though: Edited January 18, 2021 by ijozic

The details are so different, I m now wondering which one is accurate?

Blashpemy! 🙂 Keep in mind that's not a fully finished cockpit presented there for comparison. There's plenty more instruction shots in the given link and they seem to indicate that Minibase cockpit is noticeably more detailed than the Kinetic one, except for that rear panel around the ejection seat rails. I second that and the Themodellingnews' pictures shows the impressive detail over the aircraft model, I am waiting for the reception of my model, I wonder what will be their next kit. I think the SU-33 has a different cockpit variant and just look the details of the model, I have no doubt that this cockpit is right.
mirage3
The big one for all Minibase crew. Edited January 18, 2021 by mirage3
Berkut
"Kinetic's" (original developer was Aviation Art) cockpit was notoriously shallow. This was due front landing gear bay and was one of the things, among with other bugs, that just couldn't be fixed in time in development. Minibase kit is an improvement in all directions IMHO. It is certainly not a kit for a beginner, but not because of the fit or anything like that, but just the sheer amount of detail.
dehowie
Very impressive looking piece of kit engineering. Look forward to checking it out in the flesh.

solher1
It’s finally available to order in Hobby Easy. It means they have it in n stock I guess. Juan
Berkut
That doesn't quite look like an Su-33 i have ever seen i must admit.😛
Tapchan
True, Su-33 have canards.
stalal
Its quite expensive for a 1/48 after including the shipping. But then its a very detailed kit and a lot of thought has gone into designing and packaging the kit.
salomon
It depends on what you are looking for, if we want to have a well detailed model in every corner of the plane without going to buy accessories then the price does not seem so expensive to me. No need to upgrade the cockpit ($ 15). the wheels ($ 10), the engines ($ 25), the landing gears ($ 25), various details that we usually have with EDUARDS ($ 20), the decal looks good to me too ($ 15). And I'm not going to count the armaments. We come to a total of $ 110 without the kit. So fine I'm happy with it.
Solo
Hope my resin exhaust nozzles from Amigo Models will fit the Minibase fuselage. Building any model without aftermarkets it is something unnatural. 🙂

The price seems to be between Kitty Hawk and GWH Flanker kits, as far as I can see on the linked HobbyEasypage. Given the level of detail which seemingly rivals GWH, sounds quite fair, IMHO. I will swap it with the 3d printed seats or one from Aires. Photo etch can capture the seat cushion and belt details like resin can.

If this level of quality can be expected in their subsequent releases, then I have no problems paying relatively more for it. Let them be rewarded for producing a quality product. Solo
I have just paid for it on Hobbyeasy and the price with shipment fee (~82 euro) is just a little bit less then GWH Su-35 just after release in the same shop. So I think that kit will be rather expensive, close to the most expensive kits in that scale.

BTW, do you usually get charged customs fees on top of that? Edited January 21, 2021 by ijozic

In my country custom fees for such small packets is just a lottery, sometime you pay something sometime not, usually I have paid nothing so I hope there will be the same this time.
