flybywire
Hi! When decals start to crack upon immersing in the water, does it mean it's already too old to use? Any remedy for this condition? Thanks in advance! Edited August 24, 2017 by flybywire
Lancer512
Apply a coat of Liquid Decal Film over them and let dry before you soak them in water. If that doesn't help the decals are just too old.
Rex
Many vendors carry it, but, here is a link to the source. http://tinyurl.com/ydf26tex That is the stuff you want, and yes, Microscale is alive and well, and selling decals and finishing products.
DonSS3
It's a product well worth having. One tip for a method I use is to test the decals by using an image you don't plan on using on your model. That way, if it doesn't work, you haven't messed up that unique bit of decal you need for the model you're doing. Then apply the Super Decal Film as directed and again, use an image you don't plan on using as a test…
Dutch
I usually use this method for any decals over ten years old. For decals approx. five to ten years old, I overspray the decal sheet with Future floor polish. gently misting on a few coats. Again, results may vary.
