Aigore
Struttin around... I´ve been at the landing gears on and off during the week and here´s the weeks proghress :D Primed in black... Then white primer...it covers so well :D Gloss black on the oleos. Then I shot Alclad chrome... I sealed the chrome with a clear varnish, the alclad chrome is notoriously fragile and if I´m going to mask it needs protection. MAsked a bit Then some white primer followed by gloss white paint. tadaaa... Then some detail painting... followed by a clear coat. There ya go :D next some washes and a little weathering....hoping the wheels arrive soon. Cheers!

Aigore
A small update.. Cuttin´ it up... I finished the struts with a grey wash...now I just wait for the resin wheels to arrive. Well since I couldn´t get any further with the landing gears today I decided it was time to fit the DMold intakes! Using this! The Dremel is brought fourth! :D And this is as far as I got before the mighty Dremel ran out of juice :/ A decent fit al ready but it needs some tweaking for that perfect fit :D Cheers! Petrov27
Looking good - my build is at a similar stage and I use the same dremel attachment here :)

Aigore
Work on the suckers continues... Fine tuning the fit...well this looks as good as I´m gonna get. I had to add a bit of plasticard strips... Then I glued the right one in place....well some gaps :/ Same procedure with the left one... Managed a somewhat better fit. Now the wings.....I´m not entirely sure the wings are for this kit, what was the plan here? And what´s with the slot inside the wheel well??? Well I´m considering scratching details in the wells...so I´ll get some plasticard right in there....but still, I´ve seem Sword kits with better fit! Cheers!
Petrov27
Looking good! Yeah the fit on this kit is not great - seems like every major part you have to sand and tweak it to get anything close to a good fit....

wardog
Great to see so much progress happening so quickly. The Kinetic A-6 shortcoming's have been well documented previously so I'm kind of surprised both you and Petrov27 opted for it instead of the Hobbyboss offering. However, It's obvious both of you have the skills required to overcome the inherent challenges and will produce an outstanding model. Good luck and keep the updates coming. Petrov27
Yeah, I have the HB Intruder as well - actually several as the A-6 is my favorite jet, but I had started the Kinetic and had it in the stash forever so I kinda wanted to build it regardless of the problems I had heard about. Also, far as I know, it is the only kit with the composite wing required for about any Intruder post 1992-ish?

Elmo Thanx Elmo :D Well the simple explanation is that the trumpy A-6 wasn't about when I wanted to buy an Intruder so I went with the Kinetic one....I have their Prowler too for another bout of self-inflicted torture some day :P
