Glad to see that you posted an update. the windshield looks great. I'd say you beat that glue stain into submission. I never thought about using Eduard masks for the inside of the canopy and windscreens, but it's an option I'll need down the road. Joel Thanx Joel And happy New year to you too :D Not often I mask the inside but this warranted it. :)

Aigore
Yup I know the updates are far between but there is something going on at least :D Did some more putty work...around the windscreen for example. some sanding later...well I won´t really know until primer if it´s good :P Time to mask off the pit...first some tac-it rolls Then just some tape. HAd to replace some sanded off details too... Added some parts here and there too :P And on with the primer! A wee bit of work around the windscreen tho... Cheers! Joel_W
Janne, Glad to see that you're making progress. Cleaning up the small final details seems to always take the longest for the least amount of work to post, but it's super important. The windscreen is almost there. That's one area that I always struggle with. Two steps forward and at least one step back, as blending is such an art to get perfect. Joel

Aigore
Now then...I think allfilling and sanding and rescribng should be done.......I hope Filled a bit around the seam line that was showing through... Sanded more around the windscreen to blend it in more. Then a good sanding session later this is what it looks like...scribed some lost panellines as well. And re primed, and I´m happy, perhaps I should pull some panellines around the windscreen. The spine looks good. Now a good polish with 2000 grit sanding pad. I primed the belly in white. There... next I´ll finish I´ll do some detailing in the wheel bays, do the rudders, flaps and slats....arrestor hook, oh and finish the canopy. Then, I´ll be darned, it is time for paint! Cheers! Joel_W
Janne, You sure came back from your rest break with a vengeance. You're really making headway now. the redo of the windscreen joint line really is a remarkable improvement. Well done, very well done. The new primer coat certainly shows the overall progress quite well. the same goes for the undersize of the aircraft. Hard to believe this is the Kinetic kit. Brian P: Fightertown Decals
Looking solid. Happy to see you finally filled in some of the nose panel lines but then you re-scribed them! The A-6 has no panel lines on the nosecone. Fill in the line from the separate nose piece of the kit and the connecting lines that go from the windscreen to the nose. It should be one big bulbous nose on the Intruder. (PB won't let me post pictures but a quick google search will show you how the nose radome is one big piece. -brian

Red Dog
nice going Aigore, keep it up you'll make a great model in the end. what's the story of the plastic strips in front of the canopy? they look very visible ? Sebastijan, Kinetic kits on the whole require a great deal of work as Janne has been demonstrating. But like Kitty Hawk kits, they do produce models that no one else does. Joel_W
Janne, With my interest in all things Grumman, sooner or later I'll have to try my hand at the Kinetic Trackers, Hawkeyes, and the Greyhound. Sure hope that they were designed by their A team Joel
Aigore
Well then...seems I´m not all that finished with puttying things after all.... The panellines on the nose had to go....so putty Some sanding later... But after reprimer it wasn´t good enough so...moe putty. Moved on to the canopy....covered the nasty seam between the canopy halves with plasticard strips. Masked... Primed in black.... And some putty was needed here too :P At least it seems to be less and less putty for every round :P Cheers!
