Floyd S. Werner, Jr.
The new UH-1D/H decals, WW Decals 48-14 Ride of the Valkyries- UH-1D/H in Vietnam and WW Decals 48-15 UH-1D/H stencils, as well as, 48-13 UH-1D ARC-102 HF Antenna Mounts, 48-14 UH-1D/H Anti-Strella Set, and 48-16 UH-1H Upgrades are now available for purchase. With these resin pieces you should be able to do most modern versions of the UH-1H. We are working on Post-Vietnam decals now so if you have a subject that we should include now is the time. This sheet will primarily be US Army with some Vietnamese aircraft thrown in. Send me pics. I make no promises but if I don't have pics I can promise you it won't get done. We are also gathering information about foreign UH-1D/Hs. So if you have one that you'd like to see now is the time to let us know. Provide pics and such. Rod. There's really no point in making Huey II decals just yet. As you know there is no way to build a Huey II from the contents of the KH kit. You'd need new main rotor, tail rotor, particle separator, tailboom and 90 degree gear box. I love the Huey II as well, but we really need an upgraded kit first. Small sample set for sure but still a bit discouraging. Have to wonder if it's due to the choice of scale?

Loach Driver
Ordered my batch on ebay. The "Agency" might just have used the Huey in Honduras and elsewhere back in the day so maybe a speculative Agency Huey would be fun! LD. I still have bought and will buy more 1/48 kits and goodies but not near as many as in 1/35 scale. This kit will pick up though, no doubt. Chris

Drifterdon
So I heard rumor that you are going to include the markings for the Air America bird that downed the An-2 Colt in '68 over Laos in this next sheet. Any chance of including or doing up a sheet that includes USAF HH-1's?

I have a US Navy one that I planned to include. I was going to do the USAF ones but they have that strange roof mounted hoist. So maybe. Send me pics. Floyd

Floyd Hi Floyd, I'm very aware of the An-2 shoot down. My dad was on the receiving end of those An-2's or at least the site (LS85) he was working out of was. I don't know if he was on duty and at the site at the time of the attack or not. Thank God he was not on duty the night the site was overrun. He was lost a little over a year later when the RC-135E he was a crew of went down over the Bering Sea in June of '69. As for the USAF HH-1H birds, the only stuff I can find is what's posted online. Here are a couple of links to others' pics. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:UH-1H-2.jpg http://www.aviationphotocompany.com/p52222722/h178A2675#h178a2675 https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bell_HH-1H_02469_301_ARRS_Home_16.07.76_edited-2.jpg https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:HH-1H_37th_ARRS_in_flight_1983.JPEG http://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-a-side-view-of-an-air-force-hh-1h-huey-showing-rotor-shafts-and-crane-95643619.html https://www.etsy.com/listing/540689774/vintage-aviation-poster-hh-1h-huey?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=huey helicopter&ref=sr_gallery_34 https://www.helis.com/database/cn/12597/ Hopefully it's something that you can use. It would also be nice to find a walk around that showed the goofy roof mounted hoist as well as the radome bump under the bottom behind the skids. Don Wonders BTW - Here is a link to the personnel roster of those assigned to LS85 verifying my claim. Dad is the third from the bottom. He was a Radar Technician at the time. http://limasite85.us/Lima-Site-85-Personnel-List.htm Edited September 18, 2017 by Drifterdon

I like the paint scheme but that external hoist is a pain so I doubt other modelers will want to do it. I have to decide if I can put another one or two subjects on the sheet or this one which we will probably never see built but by you. We'll see. Floyd
