VIPER0177
I goofed putting the wings of my -1A together. I forgot to open the hole in the wing for the stall strip. If anybody has one and can measure the distance from the gun port to the hole I would really appreciate it.
RCAFFAN
Hold the wing up between you and a bright light and you can usually see where the hole is on the inside.....
VIPER0177
RCAFFAN I already tried the light trick. I cant get an angle that will work. But thanks for the suggestion.
Joe Hegedus
Did you try taping over the gun ports with something like black electrical tape, then shining a bright light into the end of the wing panel from the fold line to try and see where the hole should be? Or is the wing already a closed box with no opening at the fold, in which case never mind?
VIPER0177
Joe I already had the wing built.
CorsairMan
I have the kit. Would you think I could just measure a length from the outermost gun barrel?
VIPER0177
CorsairMan that would be great. Thank you for your help.
CorsairMan
No problem The opening itself is slightly over 1/16" wide So....From the edge of the outermost gun barrel measure 9/32" Starting from that point its slightly more than a 1/16" opening.
VIPER0177
Thank you CorsairMan. That will get me where I need to be.
