phantom
This showed up in the mail the other day.
phantom
I like the inner stuff better then the Hasegawa, full intake trunking, refuelling probe. Nice.
phantom
But the plastic feels......I don't know....sort of weak, flimsy almost. But it glues together well. Give it some time to dry, do more tomorrow. So far the gaps are not horrible. Certainly will need putty but how much? Stay tuned.
Grandboof
Will be watching In the gallery by the end of the week ? Martin H
phantom
Maybe, I am in the middle of my vacation. Thinking this model is now going to be "in flight". I want to show off the decals more then the plane. Going to have this in the centre with 2 Canadian flag CT-133s on either side. (those are yet to be built).
phantom
Yeah, putty was needed. The gear doors of course needed putty to be closed but perhaps a little less then the Hasegawa kit. Not bad. well except the nose gear doors. They needed a lot of putty.
phantom
Now its Hornet shaped. The pilot is from a Sabre. The Hasegawa guy seems a tad large for this Kinetic kit. Still had to sand his butt off to make him fit.
phantom
Its red......
Rick McPherson
Learn how to do it right. I have one coming soon to you. Looks good.
phantom
Oh, I am. Started some decals. Wow, Kinetic did their math. The decals take time and following the instructions to the letter. Right now I just have the upper maple leaf on and letting it dry. As I am building it in flight I know the decals are coming out right. However I think with the flaps dropped it would still look pretty cool.
phantom
Watch your instructions. They have a couple numbers going on the wrong side (36 in place of 37 for example.)

Rick McPherson
He also flies it in an inverted position with everything out except the brake. Just saying.

phantom
Next time I do this kit, some stiffeners in the nose. Its weak. Apart from that, and the smaller then Hasegawa cockpit, its pretty good.
