thewildscrotum
Hi guys, Bit of a cross-post from the research corner, but didn't get many nibbles. I'm looking for info regarding the weathering and scratching of the wing-root area of the -1A. In their role as an island-hopper workhorse, would the top layer of non-specular sea blue scratched and weathered off to reveal YZC primer underneath? Or would it have flaked off right down to the sheet metal?
RCAFFAN
Not answering you question in particular but you might want to take a look at Brett Green's weathered New Zealand machine on Hyperscale today......
RKic
I would venture that it was a bit of column A and a bit of column B. It would depend on length of service, location of service. Do you have a particular aircraft in mind? Photos to go from?
