Andreas Beck
To correct the missing top wing profile an ICM P-51 wing was introduced. As it Looks after the first raw step:
Andreas Beck
Also the air duct and the air intake below the prop axle will need some modification. This is how it Looks after the first preparing step:

Andreas Beck
The P-51 wing choice was not the worst idea but in consequence the wing filet line must be redone The air intake is still some work
Peterpools
Some very involved work and getting the profiles correct. I'm a bit confused on the how and whys of using a P-51 wing on the EMB-312 but it does seem as if you heavily modified the wing. Keep 'em coming Peter
Andreas Beck
As you can see in this photo the upper wing has no airfoil. It is absolutely plain. The laminar airfoil of the P-51 comes very close to the real thing. This drawing was done by Hans-Jürgen Fischer (copyright), published in: http://modell-aviator.de/downloads/turboprop-trainer-shorts-tucano-t-1/ I received it in a Forums response over on ffmc.de Other issues: The lateral grills on the engine cowling are molded "recessed" on the left fuselage. In fact they must flush with the Skin. On the right fuselage half the smaller grill (square) is not existing. You just find a hole. The longer grill is repeated (mirrored). In fact this grill is not existing and must be puttied. I don´t know what they smoke in the Trumpy/H-Boo development department, but it must be very hard stuff. Peterpools
Andreas Thank you for posting the update photos and the explaination., which mow makes perfect sense. Awesome idea and stellar work kerp 'em coming 👍 Peter
Andreas Beck
Only the Peruvian roundels are in Register. Hopefully Caracal will supply us with some correct sets.
Peterpools
Fingers crossed Peter
Andreas Beck
Cockpit: primitive, but good fit after some sanding on the fuselage inside locators front ldggear bay: no detail, locator only on one side though there is a provision on the other side Cockpit sidewalls: sanded down 50% in thickness, otherwise they might press the fuselage to the outside resulting in bad canopy fit White rectangle on engine comp: filled with putty, no grill existing here! small white square: Here is a grill, HB just provides a hole! (engraved plastic sheet inserted) A draine opening must be added
Andreas Beck
The landing light glass is only on the wing bottom! Nearly cut the top wing...... because HB made it this way.. so, this was sanded down
Andreas Beck
A lot of plumbum is required to avoid the Falcon from sitting on ist tail. A helping locator was glued to the left outer side of the bay which eases one side Fixing to the right fuselage half. The wing after ist first procedures before final (hopefully!) priming
Andreas Beck
Please, Airfix, have mercy with us. The longer I have to do with this Hobby_Trump-Junk the stromger this desire. Fuselage halves are together and the new lip is on. After three rounds of priming and sanding the wings get ready for scribing.

Peterpools
Super progress - looking mighty good Keep 'em coming Peter
Andreas Beck
After puttying and sanding the first priming for control was applied, will have to be repeated two or three times The canopy fits rather well, two little steps at the front and the rear. The top wing is now ready for engraving. Instead of the ICM top wing which I used the AccMin wing has a more correct airfoil.
Andreas Beck
But now this: By error HB used the deck planking of their 1/35 Roman Galley for the horizontal stabilizers. The good thing about this is that the "lovely applied" Surface Details will disappear during correction. The trailing edge of the rudder can be sanded from the inside, Looks worse than it is... Andreas Beck
After Telford some progress: Wings are re-engraved now and the wing assembly is mounted to the fuselage. After the first filling of the wing-fuselage-gap with plastic material andproming now automotive fine putty is applied for the final (hopefully) sanding. The elevator airfoil is improved by heavy sanding.

Peterpools
Geez .. a ton of work but coming together so nicely. Awesome work Keep 'em comin Peter
Andreas Beck
The next design disaster: the main wheels remind to the P-51 - but this has nothing to do with the real thing. Again homecraft is required
Andreas Beck
The wing fuselage joint is completed, it works. Thinning and reshaping the elevators has some good effect (not yet glued). Some more engraved lines and "rivets" have been eliminated. The model can only win from this.
Andreas Beck
Only a small update,... I know, the bolts are not quite regular, anyway... better than the original wheels.
Andreas Beck
After a little break the spine behind the canopy was rebuilt to get a better fit. I decided to fill all recessed lines and dots and to completely re engrave the model.
Andreas Beck
Depending on the light the gray tone varies quite a lot, at least some progress...
