MiG Hunter
Hello guys, I had to remove a one-week-old roundel decal from the wing of my 1/48 Revell F-14A Tomcat(IIAF) to relocate it but look at the silhouette it left on the wing. How can this be fixed? Also, I had to remove another decal strip but as you see there is some film residue. How can this be completely cleaned up? FYI, the decals were applied to glossy surface( with Future) but not top coated yet. I used microset and microsol to apply decals and removed it with vinegar(microset wouldn't do much to remove it) See photos below: https://ibb.co/nisrvb https://ibb.co/gKZh1G https://ibb.co/hEe4Fb Edited October 12, 2017 by MiG Hunter

Thommo
Hmmmm, perhaps the silhouette/residue is only in the Future, so if you removed the Future (maybe rubbing with a damp cloth, or perhaps with Windex if you need to go harder to remove it), then re-sprayed the Future it might disappear? Janissary
Hi, since the residue is so localized, clean, and flake-free, I would simply mask and repaint a thin coat of paint if it were me. The white especially looks straightforward. The wing camo, I would airbrush (even without masking) on low pressure, thinned paint, diffuser crown off, with a steady hand.
