F-16
I have heard/read here that it may be possible to insert the cockpit tub after the fuselage halves are joined on the Wolfpack 1/48 T-38 Talon kit. Has anyone done this? It looks like it could be done, but I'm not sure. Scott CNJC-IPMS
Winnie
I don't know, I did mine in the correct order, however... The instrument panel is WAY too tall, so the shroud does not fit at all.
efd327
What I did was cutoff the 2 small location tabs for the front cockpit which are located on the fuselage side walls. This allows the front cockpit to ever so slightly be lowered. I also removed part of the center pedestal of the front instrument panel and a small amount of each side panel. I was then able to get the shroud to sit properly. I think it might be hard to put the cockpit into the fuselage after joining the halves.

F-16
This is the post I am referring to.... Wolfpack 1/48 T-38 Talon The tabs on the cockpit sill (between the cockpits) is needed to support the canopy struts if you have them open. So these tabs should not be removed if you want to have the canopy raised. Personally, I don't think they will get in the way for the cockpit to be inserted after the fuselage is joined. It is recommended to remove the two tabs in the front cockpit area though. This will help the instrument panel to not sit too high. Scott CNJC-IPMS
