AnthonyWan
Hey all, Anyone have a lead on this? 1/48 markings for Tornado F3/ADV in ODS. Attached image from dstorm.eu for reference... I suspect the low-viz roundels are easy, tail codes are simple. However, the emblem might be a problem. All leads appreciated, Thanks! -AWan

Benner
I have left overs of the 1:48 Model Alliance sheet. I didn't use the decals on that sheet for my own Granby build. Unless I am mistaken, it was only during the build up phase that planes had that emblem. You can tell the time period because of the smaller fuel tanks which weren't used during war time. MoFo
Just to be pissy about accuracy, there were no Tornados in Operation Desert Storm.

AnthonyWan
So what's the joke about the no Tornadoes in IDS? Someone care to fill me in?
Joe Hegedus
Desert Storm was the US part of Gulf War I. As the US doesn't, or didn't, fly the Tornado, there could be no Tornado participation in ODS. The British operation was Granby, IIRC.
habu2
Adding to what Joe said, and explaining why John Manners cares: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Granby Operation Granby took its name from John Manners, Marquess of Granby, a British commander in the Seven Years' War.
