Kurt H.
What is the best kit to start with if I wanted to build an F-5E aggressor? Thanks
achterkirch
Find this boxing of AFV's F-5E. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10285490 It has both sets of noses, and both types of LEX's. Basically anything you need to build a USAF, USN or USMC Aggressor F-5E from the 80's till today. Might not have the GPS antenna found on recent USN, USMC jets though. Others might be able to chime in. Some of them look like this http://imgur.com/mSLnSsT and others look like this http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA-Navy/Northrop-F-5N-Tiger-II/4654783/L?qsp=eJwtjDEOwkAMBP/iGgqEoEgXCkqg4AOWvYKIwJ18lsIpyt9xTnSzO9LMJOnj%2BPq9ZlBHBWzypA1lNn4X6mZ6oU7JNJjO28MlXEnmpxpb2dGLIDv0/19NYatCkZZ5RHYXALs1pv0xfh1KHrk14DyMtCw/uZ8tkQ%3D%3D
gb_madcat_sl
Agreed. Go with the AFV Club kit. It is probably the best kit of the F-5E/F on the market. I've built 2 of them and found both builds to be really enjoyable with good general fit and excellent detail. Mark
airmechaja
The AFV kit is very nice! Like madcat said it's a enjoyable build.

But without the PE found in the AFV boxings. I agree with the other responses about the AFV kit, great kit for an enjoyable build. It's too bad they didn't upsize it to 1/32 scale.... I took a quick look at the instruction set on academy's site, and their boxing of the kf-5e does not seem to include the duckbill nose, or the longer LEX's.
Mizar
does any of those kits have the newer underwing pylon used to carry Sidewinders and Python missiles? Luigi

Mizar
will have to resort into scratchbuild it then,Bestfong still has to do something and I'm not sure if Taiwan F-5 ever used it Luigi
Kurt H.
Thank you everyone. AFV club aircraft are not sold everywhere but I have tracked it down at two of my approved vendors.
anj4de
I got the MIG-28 boxing today...looks like a very nice kit! It's high in my stash right now...looking for a black one which should make for a quick and eye catching build! :-)
Kurt H.
I got mine last week. I agree, It looks like a nice kit. I was inspired to build an F-5E aggressor after finding the Furball decal sheet, and watching the F-5 episode of wings on you tube.
