DanW
Done out of the box. I used DN Models masks for RAM panels - great stuff BTW. Very little to almost zero weathering. Only some wash on gear struts and wheel wells. The refference photos I checked of this particullar airframe show her to be pretty clean. Thanks for watching. https://www.flickr.com/photos/97358250@N06/albums/72157666768155969 Edited November 26, 2017 by DanW spelling
Janissary
Simply awesome. I've been scrolling up and down. The photos have a very nice effect, almost like CAD renders. You must have used a light box going off the super soft shadows? How was the build in terms of fit and ease of build? Also, if I may, looking at the review here:http://www.themodellingnews.com/2017/07/in-boxed-gary-gets-to-grips-with-mengs.html On step 25, part F11: That seems to be a hinge pin, but the doors are not movable, right? KEB
Outstanding model....next on my build list...would you please tell me which paint you used for the main color and for the RAM?

Thanks! Yes, I have used the light tent. In addition I have used the focus stacking technique and shot multiple pictures with small focus adjustment to keep the entire object sharp independently of the distance from the lens. The fit was pretty good except the weapons bay doors which I have chosen to be closed. As for the doors hinge rod it's just an imitation. Meng did not designed them to be movable. Thanks! The main color is a mix of Mr. Paint 36170 and Hataka 36170 with few drops of Hataka C060 which is dark grey. The ram panels were air brushed with slighlty lightened Mr. Paint 36170. After that the whole aircraft was sprayed with Tamiya clear mixed with smoke as I was not happy with the overall shade of the paint job (too light). After setting the decals I gave her a finish coat of satin varnish.
CaptainObvious
Such a neat build! Colors look great. I totally agree, beautifully photographed. I had to look twice to make sure they weren't computer renders. Awesome

I just want to say that your build has been extremely inspirational to me. I have a running list of models I'd like to build (pretty short), which just had another entry today using your build as a catalyst!
