muswp1
I was unboxing some models that were stored when I moved and I found 2 1/72 MiG-31 Foxhounds, a RoG rebox of the Zveda kit and a white box ICM kit. Which one is the better kit in terms of accuracy?
ijozic
IIRC, ICM somewhat cleaned up on the Condor molds on the latest boxing, but I think Zvezda kit had somewhat more detail in some areas (though it also had rather heavy panel lines).
DutyCat
I built the ICM one a few years ago. It turns out OK, but I used lots of putty and it is not finely detailed like more modern kits. Here is a gallery link.. muswp1
Good job DutyCat. Something I just thought of, did the MiG-31 ever carry R-40 Acrids in real life? I see them on kits all the time, but I don't think I've ever seen a pic with them loaded.
JackMan
I have the Zvezda one in my stash somewhere and from what I recall from fondling it years ago, it had panel lines that were a little too deep and I also had the Condor one which had panel lines that were too shallow. I think the ICM kit is a reboxed Condor kit.

They initially reboxed the Condor kit, but later released their own mold. Their own version (like their MiG-29C and MiG-25PD/PDS kits) is a vastly improved version of the Condor kit, with far better details, panel lines, and fit.
