Hajo L.
I got hold on Hasegawas 1/72 OV-1B Mohawk-kit. I´m not sure if I do the "B" or if I convert the kit into an OV-1D. If I do the latter, what changes do I have to do to the kit? HAJO

DonSS3
Check at Lonestar Models for Cobra Company sets: http://www.lonestarmodels.com The OV-1 set isn't in production, but if Cobra Company did one, it may be worth contacting Mike West at Lonestar.
Patnab
Cobra Company did at least 6 detail / conversion set for the OV-1 Mohawk but until now, nothing available at Lonestar https://www.scalemates.com/kits/150107-cobra-company-72022-ov-1a-b-cockpit-detail-set https://www.scalemates.com/kits/150111-cobra-company-72026-ov-1 https://www.scalemates.com/kits/150112-cobra-company-72027-ov-1-mohawk-prop-set https://www.scalemates.com/kits/165075-cobra-company-72028-ov-1-mohawk
jefropas
The B is the best start to make a D, because the wings are the same length and the SLAR is the same for the most part as well. The rest you have to modify yourself or try and find one of the rare Cobra Co. kits. There was an article how to do it in an old Scale Modeler magazine in the early 80's if you can find it... Hajo L.
Thank you for your input, guys! I won´t try to get the CC-update set, but by looking at the product pictures it's obvious that the changes from a "B" to a "D" are not that big... I will try to scratch that thing! DonSS3
I think Mike West of Lonestar is taking suggestions, it may be worth eMailing hime and requesting that he do these. Although, if he doesn't see a real market for them, he may not be willing to do them.
Hajo L.
I´d like to use some of the decals that came with the kit for my "D". Anyone knows if the 3rd Armored Division still used the OV-1D in the 80ies? HAJO
Mizar
drop tanks on the Mohawk and maybe in the Bronco too were the AERO 150 or different ones? Luigi
Hajo L.
Some in-progress pictures. So far I was mainly detailling the cockpit, adding more details as well as the prominent display on the starport-side. The big air scoop on the port side is sitting too much "up", but I won´t change it. HAJO
