gary1701
Hi Gents, It's been awhile since I posted anything so here's a few pics taken yesterday morning during a session on the Lakenheath approach for a couple of hours during some bright weather. Was also fortunate to catch a few 492nd birds still carrying mission markings from their six month deployment earlier in the year. Most have already been removed. A-10 LOADER
Nice shots and great weather for shooting. Man those birds were busy flying a lot of missions, it's sad they remove them. Steve
strikeeagle801
Hey! You stole my C-17! (I live 10 minutes away from McChord) Nice shots. Aaron
riffraff
Great shots. I am suprised though that the fire truck has the steering wheel on the left hand side.
gary1701
Hi gents, Thanks for the kind words. Always prefer shooting in the winter with the better light. Hi Aaron, it's been a while, that McChord bird was going far, just up North to RAF Lossiemouth for some reason. I've visited the fire units at both Mildenhall and Lakenheath and they're actually dual manned, UK MoD and USAF fire personnel. The wagons are US though. Nearly forgot, they flew a lot more missions as they continued onto the other side of the nose. Gary Edited December 10, 2017 by gary1701
