RotorheadTX
When work sends one travelling, always take the good camera. ;-)
Djack
Awesome to see these! I worked at Ft Bliss a few years ago, always had interesting traffic stop through, mostly at the airport. I stayed right across the street from the airport, so I have some shots probably in the same exact spot as your Chinook & Osprey pic. David
midnightprowler
Great pics. I didn't know a Chinook's forward rotor hung so low to the ground.
Cubs2jets
Can anybody knowledgeable on the subject (Floyd?) comment on the aerodynamic modifications to the vertical fin on the 212's in the first two pics? C2j

C2j Cubs, That modification is called the BLR Fast Fin, it helps the tail rotor to be more efficient and create much control to the aircraft, it also helps eliminate the LTR effectiveness. Rod. huey_crew_chief
I am hoping they are not parting out the Huey IIs. They look to be is sad shape.
BrittMac
Are they taking former UH-1N's and refurbing them for BP? Just wondering since one of the grey -N's had what looks like a new Fast Fin install. I'd be surprised if they didn't send the older II's to get refurbed. I mean, why wouldn't they?
