MA Cooke
I plan on going, with my father-in-law. He's a huge aviation buff, and he served in the Navy during Korea, aboard a P2V as flight engineer. We went in 2016 and he toured the P2V on display.

MA Cooke
Weather looks awful - 90% chance of rain Saturday, 50% Sunday. My father-in-law and I discussed yesterday, we're bailing - we don't want to drive from Cincinnati just to get soaked in the rain.

I have already paid for the tickets and it is too late to cancel the hotel...so I am gonna go one way or another. A garbage bag for my camera bag and my big work rain coat for my self, then cross fingers and toes that it all misses. I have also planned to hang out at Newark for a few hours Sun morning...so I really REALLY hope it stays nice Sean

I shoot high school football for local media, and I got soaked bad enough this past season (2 games with steady, hard rain) that I'm done with it - I have a Nikon 200-400mm f4 zoom, and nothing provides peace of mind if I'm worrying about it getting wet enough to muck things up. martin_sam_2000
Yeah. I hear you. Looks like it may be a bit better than initially thought tomorrow.. but still. This is weather that keeps planes at home so i think it will be a low turn out

martin_sam_2000
Sat was hot and sunny, clouds moved in late in the afternoon and we got rain right at the end of the show. There were quite a bit of missing aircraft, mostly trainers, as well as the corsair and the P-63. The Dauntless showed up round half way through the day. The flying was cut a little short due to the lack of some of the aircraft, but it worked as FIFI finished right as the rain moved in. All in all, an OK day. I hear Sun was a little cooler, but cloudy and drizzle so things were balanced. Glad I got too see FIFI, DOC and the C-97 together on the same ramp, but was sad that DOC wasn't scheduled to fly. The crew confirmed they will be at TOM and they are flying. Sean
