Joerg
Fantastic! I have the Airlife book "East German Airforce" which has the pics of 899 in exactly the setting you show in your diorama. One of my favorite MiG-21 pics and the plan for me to do in 48th scale. Joerg
Floggerman
Very nice! (what is the outer missile? R-3R?)
b.l.stryker
Very nice, but why did not you change the mark if you know the mistake?

Giovanni
Hi, a BIG BIG thank You for your appreciation! 10 hours ago, Floggerman said: Very nice! (what is the outer missile? R-3R?) Yes the outer is an R-3R a semi-active radar version of the "atoll". The inner is a K-13m a version almost identical to the american aim-9L. This is not a mistake! All started as a joke in case someone had pointed out that the marking was wrong. Here's the answer. The same plane the same period the same place from a different point of view: This project was well researched so the differences from reality are due to my own limits as a modeler... Giovanni
Hello guys, I added some elements on top of the "hills". On the real one these allowed to place a mimetic cover on top of the structure. Also some flat transparent and some color chipping. I took two new pictures hope You like!
