Hey guys,

I am building su-27 1/32 from trumpeter. I also bought linden hill decals and want to build red 04, which visited Sweden and was newly painted before this visit.

Edit: Removed was the link which was displayed directly as the picture...here the link again, not sure why would be a link copyrighted..

Now linden hill has only side views for this scheme plus a top view for a standard scheme, which was completely different, so it's useless. I was not able to find anything that would give me a better idea about the scheme, Would there be somebody able to help me? Please?
Thanks

Please consult the booklet that comes with the decals you mention you purchased. There is a full page devoted to ‘red 04’ including photos plus left and right profiles. The upper surfaces of the Red 04 were weathered to the extent that only the protective base coat remained. the airframe was touched up frequently in situ, thus rendering an upper definitive profile moot. The profile you post above comes from Mir Aviatsii magazine and is not particularly accurate, possibly even 'useless' in your parlance. It is not included in LHD 32002. We relied for our references on a modeler from Kaliningrad who actually took the photos in the booklet.

LHD 32002 has been out of print for about 10 years, so I'm amazed you found the set for sale.

You guys should really do another run of those 'Flankers on Patrol' Parts I, II, III, there's not a lot of 1/32 Flanker decals out there, and yours were very good quality.  I'd definitely pick up a couple sets to keep on hand.

The photo above was only for illustration. Well I have the booklet, but as I said before, it gives only side views but no idea about the top and the bottom.

Comparing the side views above with the standard scheme's top view it seems to be quite different.

It's a pity that the top scheme for the red 04 is questionable. It's such a nice machine and the decals are also very nice, but maybe I will have to reconsider and pick a different machine because of this.

Edit: the photos have been removed, but I have placed only links from this review:

not the pictures directly...
