Blu-Tac and Shoo-Goo...use Blu-Tac to hold the parts together than apply a small bead of Shoo-Goo with a toothpick on the backside of the joint and let dry. The Shoo-Goo is tough and a little flexible, allows for some minor fitting without breaking the bond. There are some applications where CA glue will be your only option, for these I use a Medium CA glue.

Most of the time, those PE parts aren't subjected to stress, so a very neat technique is using clear acrylic varnish (Tamiya X-22 will do the trick). Just aplly the varnish to the gluing surface and place the part. The bond is not very strong, so be carefull touching the glued parts afterwards. I you do any mistake, just aplly some flat varnish to hide it

Acrylic glues, like Gator's Grip and Formula 560 Canopy Glue, are amazing for PE parts, especially surface bonds as they dry clear, clean up with water, remain flexible. Flexibility is a key attribute for a surface bond to avoid the differing thermal expansion rates of plastics and brass weakening the glue joint. A member of the local club also likes these glues for edge bonds because of the flexibility to prevent breakage.
