Hello All! - Italeri 1/72 F-15 E Strike Eage

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I have just recently joined the forum. I am Bob Builder from Townsville Australia. I love scale modelling so here I am!

Here is a recently completed kit. The Italeri 1/72 F-15 E Strike Eagle

Build Summary

The kit was a speed build - done in about 10 days which is much faster then I usually build, so I might have missed a few details. I have built it OOB with some spare PE seat belts. I could have spent more time on the canopy and cockpit in hindsight. I have kept weathering to a bare minimum, as I like my aircraft clean. The kit required a lot of filler where the wings met the fuselage, all the detail there also had to be re scribed.

As always I am never concerned with historical accuracy or rivet counting. I am concerned with the build and paint job, which I am happy with at the moment.

I hope you all take the time to watch the final reveal video and also the build slideshow, as these do take considerable time and effort to put together.

That kit is outdated, but your model looks great! I´ve never thought that would be the old Italeri F-15E...!

Thanks. Yes the kit is old but with some work can be turned into a great model.
