Jeff Dick
Below are several clippings from e-mails to illustrate what I've been put through by this guy. I have dealt with amny other ARCers and have made great friends and great deals and I think I have been quite generous.....So why in the world this guy treats me like this is beyond my comprehension...being the internet he may not be 31 as he claims...it sure doesn't come off that way. Read for yourself if you dare and you be the judge and hope you don't get stung by him like I did. Notice the date when all this started. I even wonder if some of you "bought my decals or traded for them without knowing the whole story............ Jeff, Steve here. Excellent work! Finally someone has got the nose art right. The 5 bucks and the self addressed envelope wont be a problem. If you don't mind me asking what type of printer are you using? And will the decals be the same as others that are out there now? Anyway send me your address and I'll get the envelope and money off to you. I would like the entire set but if you don’t want to part with the whole thing I'll take the Thunderbird decals. Let me know Jeff if you have them because if you do I would really appreciate them. Let me know. Thanks, Steve Jeff, Steve here again. I just wanted to know if you had found those Invisible B-17 kit decals? Or if you had any left from the four other kits you had. Get back to me when you can. Thanks, Steve Jeff, Hi Steve here. No I don't need the 909 decals anymore because I came across them ay my local hobby shop by pure luck! As for the other decals if you find them just let me know and if you print up a set let me know as well. The color around Columbus is supposed to be a light blue not black as Super Scales version is but I can live with it. As far as the rest of the sheet is concerned its about as close as you can get unless you have info to show otherwise. Right now I'm going to start doing another B-17 with the markings of Outhouse Mouse. But my other B-17 project will have to wait until I can get my hands on the decals for the Invisible B-17. I just wanted to know if you have heard from your friend about those B-17 decals yet? Let me know when you do. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I was wondering buddy if you could just make a set of those decals up for me instead of me waiting for someone to come up with them? All I really need is the Thunderbird decals so if you can make me a set I'd appreciate it. But if someone comes up with a set let me know. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. As soon as you get a set printed let me know because you have a buyer for them in me. Hey what kind of printer do you use? Is it an Alpine printer? Because I know Mike Grant uses one and his decals which are very good have a tendency to scratch very easy. Anyway Jeff like I said as soon as you get a copy printed contact me because I want a set! Steve. p.s thanks for the Thunderbird email I never knew those photos exsisted. Jeff, Steve here again. I just wanted to let you know that I had to switch emails so you can now reach me at this address when the Thunderbird decals are done. I had to switch emails due to the fact the MSN is JUNK! Oh well anyway just let me know when your finished up with the decals and then we can do buisness. Steve Jeff, Steve here. That was quick!;) Here's my address: Steve Smith xxxxxxx So you made the decal's more accurate then the Monogram sheet? That's cool. Another question for you Jeff is it safe to use Solveset on your decals? Or should I just use Decal setting solution? Let me know bud because I don't want to ruin them. Thanks for everything Jeff and I look forward to getting those decals from you soon. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I just wanted to know if you got my last e-mail with my address? If you did or didn’t let me know. Also let me know when you send those decals out to me. Thanks, Steve Jeff, Steve again. I'm going to put photos of my completed 909 B-17 on ARC very soon just have to get some photos made up. As for Thunderbird I'm not going to build the phantom version I'm going to build the regular version. When its finished I will have photos of it posted on ARC with credit going to you for the decals because without you Jeff it wouldn't have been possible. Next to 909, Thunderbird is my second favorite B-17. I had the privilage of flying in the Collings Foundations 909 and it was great and I got to see Thunderbird when it came to an airshow when I lived in Phoenix Arizona. So I have tremendous love for these two historic and very important birds. I look forward to getting your decals Jeff and I know they will be much better then Monograms version or ANY version that Superscale comes out with. Talk to you later bud and once again let me know when you send them out so I can watch out for them. Your Friend, Steve Thanks Jeff. I look forward to getting them. I will let you know when they arrive. Thanks again for everything. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. Thanks buddy but you didn't have to throw in the 909 decals too! Now do you realize what you may have done? Now I may have to try and pull off my other 909 decals and replace them with yours:)! I'm a stickler for accuracy and if yours is dead on which I'm sure they are I'm going to have to try and get the Superscale decals off and replace them with yours and that's ok. But as far as Thunderbird goes thanks again Jeff you're a life saviour. Quick question? Did you send them by USPS? I just want to make sure so I can watch out for them. Drop me an e-mail to let me know when you get the chance. Once again thanks Jeff. Steve eff, Steve here. I've been studying the photo of the Thunderbird decals and I have to say that you do a great job! I cant wait to get them. I have to ask you though I have seen a lot of photos of Thunderbird and wasn’t the squadron markings in white not gray? I'm not questioning you but I've also seen the Monogram decals and the markings were in white. Were they inaccurate? I'm sure they were but I'm just curious is all. A lot of times I have got decal sheets for B-17's and have found out they were wrong just as you pointed out that the markings for 909 were wrong and you are right the 909 markings are wrong DAMN IT! I should have just waited for you to print me up a sheet. Now I'm stuck with inaccurate decals for a plane I busted my butt on! I wish there was some way I could remove the decals and apply yours but since I used Solvaset and then dull over them it impossible unless you have an idea for me to get them off with out ruining the paint job. If you do let me know. You should go into business for yourself Jeff with making decals because like I said you do an amazing job and your decals are accurate not inaccurate like what is being sold out there. I'll let you know when I get the decals Jeff and by looking at the photo you sent me I know I wont be disappointed. Steve Hey Jeff Steve again. I have a question for you. Since you do such great work on B-17 decals I wanted to know if you would do me one more favor. For a long time I've wanted to do a 381st bomb group B-17G but I was never able to find 1/48th decals to make one up. I even tried to paint all the markings and so fourth without success. I EVEN contacted Mike Grant to see if he would make up a set for me but no dice as they say. I wanted to do the 381st bomb groups "Texas Raiders" that is flying around the country today and I've had the chance to see her at an air show in Wisconsin. Since that time I wanted to do a kit with her markings. So if you could do you think you could make up a decal sheet with her markings for me? There is several sites on the web that show pictures of her so they aint hard to find. I wont ask you for another decal sheet if you can do this one for me. I've always wanted to do a Fort with the 381st markings on it and "Texas Raiders" is the one I would like to do. If you can do these for me I would appreciate it. Get back to me on this when you can. Thanks for all your help Jeff. Your Friend, Steve Hey Jeff, Steve again. First what a nice job on the Grumman HU-16A you should be proud. Thanks for wanting to do the "Texas Raiders" decals for me. Like I said I've always wanted to do that B-17 not only because I love the nose art but because you don't see too many 381st B-17s done in the hobby world. I believe its because one no one produces decals with 381st markings, and two decal companies stay with the 91st bomb group because the Group was so well recognized in the ETO. But as with Thunderbird, 909, Texas Raiders were always my favorite among the B-17's flying today and its always a pleasure to see them at air shows in Minnesota and to see them roaring over the house is just a thrill. I'm 31 years old and I always wonder about what it would have been like to fight and fly in the Fortress's in Europe. Its always been my all time favorite bomber and that's why I've love building as many of them as I can. I guess you can call me a B-17 freak! Books, video's, magazines you name it I have it when it comes to the 17. It's the same way with the P-51 Mustang a fighter which I also love to death. Anyway Jeff I've taken up enough of your time and bothered you enough but I'll let you know when I get those decals and keep me up to date on how the "Texas Raiders" decals are coming along. Your Friend, Steve Jeff, Steve here. Go with the new re-paint version buddy that will be just fine. I saw the new version and its a lot better in my book. So just go with that one. Steve Jeff, Steve one more time. Hey were did you see the new re-paint job on Texas Raiders? Its no big deal because like I said I want the new version but I forgot what web page I saw it on. So if you could point out where you saw it let me know. Steve Jeff, Steve here. Thanks for sending me the email about the Texas Raiders 17 it was very informative. Have you had a chance to make the decals yet? No hurry just asking. Have a good Sunday and will talk to you later. Steve Jeff. Steve here. I was wondering if you could be able to make decals to fit the Trumpeter 1/24th Mustang? I just got this kit recently and I wanted to put the markings of Col Donald Blakeslee on it from 4th fighter group. All I need is his Mustang codes made which are WD C which will go on both sides of the fighter along with the serial number 44-13779 which will go on both sides of the tail. And if you could in small letters make Col Blakeslee to go under the canapy. There is no fancy art work or nothing on his Mustang because he didn’t believe in putting artwork on his plane. If you need any photos let me know because I can send them to you. But the codes need only to be in black because his Mustang was silver. Let me know if you can do them and if you can I'd appreciate if you could make them up for me and send them along with the Texas Raiders B-17 decals. Hope to hear from you soon. Your Friend, Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I'm just emailing you to ask how the Texas Raiders decals are coming along? I know the nose art must be pain in the you know what but I trust it will look good when your finished. I'm expecting to get your decals any day now and I will drop you a line when they arrive. So for now take care and I will talk to you later. Your Friend, Steve Jeff, Steve here. No problem just go and have a good vacation. As soon as I get the Thunderbird/909 decals I'll drop you a line right away. So until them have a good vacation and I'll talk to you when you get back. Your Friend, Steve Jeff, Steve here. I just got the decals and all I can say is fantastic and thanks a million! You had Thunderbird right on the money along with nine o nine. If this set is this good I can just imagine what Texas Raiders is going to look like when you get done with them! Once again thanks Jeff. Now I'm on my way to the hobby shop to get some paints so I can get working on Thunderbird. A quick question for you though. If I use Solvaset on these will it wreck them? If you think it will then I wont use it. And do apply these like the regular decals? Let me know when you get the chance. Steve Jeff, Steve here. I hope you are having a good vacation. I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you that for some reason the 909 decals didn’t work, why? I wish I knew. I did everything like you said but they wouldn’t come off the paper for love or money BUT the Thunderbird decals worked very well. Its strange because like I said I followed your instructions to the mark but they wouldn’t budge and now I've got a B-17 with no decals (Which is not your fault by the way) but something happened. Like I said the Thunderbird decals worked to a tee! If you could would you please send me another set of 909 decals when you get a chance? I would really appreciate that. I hope you had a great vacation and drop me a line as soon as you can. Your Friend, Steve Jeff, Steve here. Hey how was the trip? I hope everything went good and you and your family had a good time. As far as the 909 decals go thanks for sending me a new set I would really appreciate it. I was mad that the first set didn't work because you did such a great job and my Fort would have looked great and above all accurate. I did get the Superscale decals to come off my Fort so its sitting here waiting for your correct version of 909. It wasn't your fault that they didn't work Jeff, some paper just don't work as well as other paper so don't worry about it. I just appreciate the fact that your helping me out on getting accurate decals for my B-17 projects. Anyway I hope you had a good trip and you had a good time. Talk to you again soon. Your Friend, Steve Jeff, Steve here again. I have a question for you. Do you think you could possibly send the 909 decals out to me as soon as you can? The reason is is that I'd like to put my B-17 in a model show on Monday with it wearing your decals of 909. If you can or cant let me know ASAP. If you cant that’s fine no big deal but I would just like to enter it in the model show here in Saint Paul. One other question I have for you Jeff is should the surface of the plane be glossy when I apply your decals? I ask this because I know decals get a silvering effect when they dry on dull model surfaces. Hope to hear from you soon. Steve Jeff, Steve here. Thanks for doing that for me. I'll keep an eye out for them and let you know when I get them. Steve Jeff, Steve here. Thanks for dropping me a line about sending the decals out, I'll keep an eye out for them. The last decals for 909 were accurate enough how more accurate could you have got them? It will be very interesting to see them. As for Texas Raiders I cant wait to get those because I've always wanted to do a bomber from the 381st and now thanks to you I can. You've been a big help Jeff and I mean that. I used Testors decal set on Thunderbird and that worked great. Quick question for you though Jeff. Would Solveset ruin your decals and if so why? Is it because its to strong of a solvent? Let me know because I'm just curious. Good luck at the doctor and I hope everything is ok. Steve Jeff, Steve here. Thanks for the information. As far as the $10.00 goes just send me your mailing address and I'll get the money off to you, it's the least I can do for all your help plus I might add something extra for you. I'll let you know as soon as they arrive. Again thanks for everything Jeff and send your mailing addy to me so I can send the money out to you. Steve Jeff, Steve here. I just wanted to let you know that I got the decals today and they look great especially the Texas Raiders decals. Thanks for everything you did for me and I wont forget it. Also thanks for the post on ARC about the Panda B-17G which for some reason I don’t look forward to due to the fact that I've heard some horror stories about their kits and hopefully that wont be the case with their B-17 release but we shall see. Anyway thanks again and I'll get the money out to you as soon as I can Steve Jeff, no I didn’t lose your e-mail or forget about you buddy but thing's have been very hectic around here. I keep saying I'm going to do this B-17 and that B-17 just to get my mind off the fact that I lost my job the other day and it's tuff when you have a baby on the way. So no Jeff I havent forgot about you and as soon as I get some money I'll send you the 10 I owe you. Speaking of the Texas Raiders decals that you were good enough to do for me they didn’t work. The same thing happened to them as what happened with the first set of Nine O Nine decals you sent me. It's not your fault it's probably something I did. No big deal because right now I have enough on my plate to worry about. I'll get back to you soon. Steve Jeff, Steve here. I hate to ask you this because you have already done me so many favor's and I owe you 10 bucks. But you’re the only one that I know of that could help me. I was wondering if you could print up decals for the B-17G Shoo Shoo Baby that flew with the 91st? If you could that would be great. I would need them when she was wearing her natural silver finish, not the olive drab finish that she is wearing now. If you could help me with this I would appreciate it but if you cant I understand. I was going to do Hiking For Home and Carolina Moon but both sets of decals turned out to be junk and I have a 17 that is sitting here with no decals. So I would like it to be wearing the marking's of this famous B-17. Like I said I know you’ve helped me in the past and I owe you money so if you don’t want to do them its ok like I said I understand. Let me know when you can. Steve Jeff, hey buddy. There's no big rush just send them out when your finished with them. I'm going to give you my address again just so you have it: Steve Smith xxxxxxxxx If you could for me Jeff try and make the nose art and so fourth a little richer in color so it looks good on silver. I know a lot of forts with in the 91st didn’t carry the red fin and rudder until later in the war. Like I said you don’t have to send them quick regular mail will be fine I'm just thankful your doing them for me. Let me know when you send them out. Thanks again Jeff. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I have a quick question for you buddy. I got a set of the Hiking For Home decals today and I've been looking for pictures of her on the net and cant find a single one. I've even went to the 91st web site and they have no pic's of her either. Do you know where I can find some photos of her? Would you have any? I've only seen two photos of her in flight and that’s it. I just want to see how accurate these decals are. If you can help me let me know. Your Friend, Steve Hey Jeff, thanks for the picture's. I'm not going do this 17 due to the fact that the superscale sheet is WAY WRONG! So I'll just wait until you get my "Shoo Shoo Baby" decals done and use those instead. Thanks for doing that for me. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. A quick question for you buddy. Do you have any photos of the B-17G "Little Miss Mischief"? If you do could you send a couple of photo's to me because I want to know if she has her midsection in Olive Drab as some have said. I know she suffered some damage to that area and that they replaced that part but I want to know if olive drab was the correct color. Have you had a chance to start on Shoo Shoo Baby for me? If not no big deal my friend just checking. Steve Jeff, thanks for all the photo's. I'm glad I can depend on you for reference material when I can find it no where else. Well I'm off for now but have a good weekend and don’t work to hard on the house! Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I just wanted to know how the Shoo Shoo Baby decals are coming? If you close or arent close to finishing them let me know. There's no hurry I just wanted to check. Have a good one buddy. Steve Jeff, Steve here. Thanks for the update. One email you sent me said you also have Shoo Shoo baby from your invisible B-17 and your going to send that as well, thanks. You also said you are doing Little Patches for a fellow ARCer that should look cool. That person is very lucky because of the work you do. Once again thanks for the update buddy I appreciate it. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I just wanted to know if you could send me those Little Miss Mischief pictures again. My computer crashed last night due to some bad storm's we got here in the cities and I lost those pic's so if you could send me another set I'd appreciate it buddy. Hey do you know if any crew picture's are avalible of Miss Mischief? I checked the 91st web site and there's not one. Also have you checked out the ARC website lately? Damn has it changed and it look's good how Steve. B set up the discussion board's. Any way I hope everything is going well and I'll talk to you later. Your Friend, Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I was just wondering how the decals for Shoo Shoo Baby are coming along? If their not close to being done that’s ok just checking. Steve Thanks Jeff. I'll keep an eye out for them and let you know when they arrive. Steve Hey buddy I just wanted to wish you and your family a happy and safe 4th of July. Your Friend, Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I just wanted to know if you had sent the Shoo Shoo Baby decals out? If you have or have not let me know buddy. Steve Jeff, Steve again. I'm sending you another email just in case the first one didn’t go through. I was wondering if you sent the Shoo Shoo Baby decals out and if you did when was it? Let me know when you get the chance. SteveJeff, Steve here. Thanks buddy I'll keep an eye out for them and let you know when they get here. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I just wanted to let you know that I still havent got the decals as of yet. I cant remember how long it takes to get mail from you but I will give it until Friday and if I havent got them I'll let you know. Steve Jeff, hey buddy Steve here. The decals never arrived. I trust that you sent them but it never takes this long to get something from you. I'm not mad at all but I just want you to know that you don’t have to resend them because I'm going to put another set of decals on my B-17 which is now thank god almost finished. With the mail I've learned that "**** happens" so don’t worry about it. I'm not. Anyway I hope everything is well and good. Take care. Your Friend, Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I just wanted to let you know that the decals of Shoo Shoo Baby didn’t come today. I know you said you sent them out and I believe you buddy but it's never taken this long to get something from you. Do you have the day and date that you sent them out? I've been holding off on putting decals on my B-17 hoping that the decals will come but so far nothing so I guess I'll give until tomorrow. I was thinking about doing "Sleepy Time Gal" from the 381st Bomb Group but I have yet to get a hold of someone that will make the decals for me. I would have asked you but you’ve already made enough decals for me already so I wont bother. I'm thinking that your ****** at me for some reason because you don’t return any of my emails and if you are let me know. Well I got to run but if those decals do show up I'll let you know at once. Take Care, Steve Jeff, Steve here. I know about letters getting lost in the mail its happened to me a few times. Do you still have my address? I'm going to give it to you so you can confirm that you have it just in case its: Steve Smith xxxxxxxxx I'll keep an eye out for them in the mail. The last decals you sent me reached me in at least 5 days so we will see what happens. When I get them I email you back ASAP. Steve Cool Jeff. I'll keep an eye out for the decals and let you know when they arrive! Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I got the decals today and they look awsome! You did an excellent job on the nose art in fact that’s the best I've ever seen buddy. I still think you should go into making decals and selling them. You would give Mike Grant a run for his money! Anyway do you have any photos of Shoo Shoo Baby when she was in her silver phase that you could send me? I've seen the ones of just her nose but nothing else. If you have any photos you could send me that would be cool if not that’s ok. Anyway Jeff thanks again buddy. By the way if you hear anything on the Panda release of their 1/32nd 17" let me know. Your Friend, Steve Hey Jeff, thanks for the info. I've got a Fortress here that's finished in all NMF so the decals will be perfect. Thanks again buddy and once again excellent job. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I just wanted to write you and first tell you that the Shoo Shoo Baby decals worked perfectly buddy and I now have a beautiful silver B-17 sitting next to 909. Two famous Forts side by side and they both look great. I wanted to also know Jeff if you still would be able to print up some more of those Thunderbird decals for me? What happened to the first ones? Well they were on the plane but it nose dived into the cement and broke into pieces. In short it fell off my shelf! I don’t know if you kept the originals you made up for me on your computer but if you did could you print another set out for me using the same decal paper you printed my second 909 decals on? That decal paper worked great. If you will and once I get them I'll send you $20 for what you’ve done for me fair enough? Let me know when you can, like I said if you can and once I get them I'll send you $20. Hope to hear from you soon! Your Friend And Fellow 17 Lover, Steve Hi Jeff, Steve here. Scrap my request for the Thunderbird decals buddy I changed my mind. I'm going to try and find decals for the 91st Bomb Groups "Little Patches" Hopefully I'll be successful and someone may have them. I'm going to build one more B-17 with those markings and if I cant find them I'll use my "Man O War 2" decals instead but I'm hoping to get a response in a couple of days. If not no big deal. Later buddy, Steve Steve again. You mad at me for something buddy? If you are let me know. I've emailed you twice now. Hey I got a question for you? I'm building another B-17 for a friend of mine who's father flew for the 381st Bomb Group. He flew on the B-17G "Sleepy Time Gal". I was wondering Jeff if you could make up some decals for me for that 17'? She was all silver and had the red fin and rudders you may have seen some pictures of her. If you would do that for me I would send you 10 bucks for your time. Think about it and let me know when you can. If you don’t want to do that for me that’s cool I understand. If your mad at me for some reason let me know buddy because I'm the type of guy who if someone has a problem with me I'm willing to talk about it. Your Friend, Steve Jeff, First yes I want to proceed and 2nd I know what its like to be busy buddy. I'll send you out 10 bucks if that’s what you'll settle for. Just send me your address again and I'll get the money off to you. Hope to hear from you soon. Steve Sounds good buddy. I'll get the $10.00 sent off to you by Friday. Let me know when it reaches you and let me know when you finish the decals and send them out. Thanks for everything Jeff. Blue Skies, Steve Jeff, I don’t know if you have got started on those decals but if you havent scrap the idea buddy. I'm going to be building just one more Fortress and it wont be for the person it was supposed to be for, it will be for me. I'm going to be getting some decals from a store in Nevada of "Little Patches" of the 91st Bomb Group and that will be the next ship I build if all goes well. But thanks buddy for willing to do another set of decals for me. Of all the ones you’ve made for me "Shoo Shoo Baby" is my favorite, the decals go well on the silver bird. The only thing I did different was to add the red fin and rudders which I know she didn’t have but it makes the model stand out more AND if she would have been around for more then 25 missions she would have had them added I'm sure. Anyway thanks again Jeff, take care. Your Friend, Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I'm getting ready to build "Little Patches" from the 91st bomb group and I was wondering if you have any photos of her other then the ones I got from the 91st bomb group website which werent many? If you have any good photos of her I would appreciate if you could email them to me. It would be a big help. I hope everything is going good on your end. Your Friend, Steve Hey buddy Steve here. How's everything been going? Havent seen you on the ARC board so I hope everything is going alright. I need your help Jeff. After I get done building my last Fort I'm going to be building a Hobby Craft 1/24th Mustang with the markings of Capt Chuck Yeagers "Glamourus Glenn III". I have the decals but I don’t have the yellow and red checker Board decals that go on the nose. So I'm wondering if you can make a set for me for the 1/24th Mustang? If you can I can send you some cash if you like. Let me know when you get the chance. Again I hope everything is going well. Steve Jeff, Steve here. I need your help buddy and I hope this reaches you. I need the nose art for Little Patches, just the nose art and nothing else. It just so happens mine got wrecked. So if you could could you print one up for me? Like I said I just need the nose art and that’s all. Hope to hear from you soon! Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I have a favor to ask you buddy. I need another set of those Thunderbird decals you made for me awhile back. I'm building another model of Thunderbird for a vet who flew her in WW2 and I would like to present the kit to him as a gift. So if you could print me up another decal sheet I would really appreciate it my friend. I'm out of work right now so I wouldn’t have any money to offer you and I know its spendy to be printing up decals but I promise this would be my last request. I thought of you Jeff because you did such a fantastic job on the last decal set you made me. If you want I could send you some 1/24th Mustang decals as a trade. If you can help me out on this one Jeff I'd appreciate it greatly and I would be in your debt. If you cant I understand. But if you can I have a request. Print the side fusalge codes in white instead of grey because that’s how the man remembers them and also if you still have the paper print them out on the paper you used for my last set of 909 decals you made me. That’s only if you still have it. Thanks Jeff and like I said I will no longer ask you to make a set of decals for me after this unless I have the cash but if you want to make a trade for those Mustang decals I can do that for you. Let me know if you can help me with this buddy ASAP. Hope to hear from you soon! Your Friend, Steve "MrB-17" Hey Jeff, Steve here. I was wondering if you could print up a set of 1/24th scale decals for the 357th Fighter Groups "Nooky Booky IV" that was flown by Major "Kit" Carson? You wouldn’t have to print up the checker board nose band or you wouldn’t have to do the national insignias I have a set of those already. All I need is the P-51 markings on his plane such as the nose art name and the planes codes and so fourth. Quote me a price and we hopefully do buisness. Thanks Jeff, Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. Well I can confirm it for you, lets do it and I promise there will be no changing my mind this time. Just give me a total for the decals and what you would like for shipping on the previous decals. How's 20 bucks even sound? Let me know and thanks Jeff. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve again. First off buddy I sorda figured you were ****** at me and for that I'm sorry I shouldn’t change my mind so much but when you hit 33 your mind isnt the same! lol. Anyway have you heard anything about the Mirage 1/48th B-17 yet or Pandas? If you have any updates let me know. Also send me your address so I can get the 20 bucks out to you ASAP! Thanks buddy. Steve Jeff its just Steve one last time. When your doing my P-51 decals do me a favor and make sure you include the name "Major Kit Carson" for the canopy rail. I don’t know if you have any photos of his Stang so if you need any help just drop me a line. Steve Hey Jeff just Steve again. I was wondering if it would be too late to ask you to do Bud Andersons "Old Crow" P-51D instead of "Looky Nooky IV" If it isnt too late I want the markings for his Mustang instead when it wore the NMF scheme. If you already started on my first request them forget it but if you didn’t go with "Old Crow" instead. Let me know. Steve Jeff, Steve here. No need to give me a cut off date because "Old Crow" is my final decision. No more changes or anything like that. When your finished with them let me know and I'll send you the money. Remember I need the "Old Crow" decals for when it wore its all natural metal finish. Thanks again for everything. Steve Thanks buddy. I appreciate it. When your done send me your address as well. Steve Hey Jeff, Nooky Booky IV don’t have to be that big so what ever you think look's right is fine by me. I will send you the money Tuesday morning. Thanks buddy for everything. Steve Hey Jeff, Steve here. I was wondering if you would like to have a decal set of mine? The are the Pro Modeler decals for the B-17G "General Ike" and "The Joker". If you would like them they are yours at no charge. I just thought of you since you have helped me so often in the past. Let me know if you want them. Steve Hey Jeff. I will mail out the 20 on Weds I was just waiting for word from you when they were done. Sorry buddy my mistake but I will mail the money on Weds ASAP! Steve........................................................................... ..... 17 months later and not a %$#*!@& thing. Don't let it happen to you. Jeff
Scooby
Wow, you did allot of work for him. It looks as though you are owed. He appeared to be holding onto the money as ransom. I can vouch that Jeff is an outstanding guy and doesn't deserve this.
The Migrant
Interesting. Steve e-mailed me with numerous similar requests for custom P-51 and B-17 decals, but I guess I was 1) more expensive than you and 2) I requested payment in advance. Your decals sound excellent, BTW. Come on Steve, do the right thing. Send Jeff the money you owe him. Judging by the number of sheets he did for you, Jeff must have invested dozens of hours' work, not to mention ink/paper and shipping costs.
Jeff Dick
Thanks Mike I really appreciate your comments. I somehow think that I may have been taken for a ride by a kid here. His latest comments on the end of the B-17 decal thread seem to strongly indicate that we have an imposter on our hands. Thanks again, Jeff
SBARC
Jeff Dick is a close friend of mine and I'm quite pissed off that "B-17 Steve" has screwed Jeff so badly. Jeff is one of the kindest most patient guys I know. I'm quite upset over this situation. Steve B ARC night Shift

I'm a good personal friend of Jeff's and I saw how much time he puts into his work and that included these decals that B17Steve requested. I suspect that Jeff spend more money on materials and shipping than B17Steve even offered to send him. Jeff is an extremely generous guy and will do anything he can for you if you ask. I know from experience. Let's hope this situation can be dealt with quickly and quietly. Percy
Mark Lynam
Jeff, You've done some fantastic detailed work for me, and remembered me when you get something into the shop you know I'll be interested in. For that I shall always be grateful. Cheers buddy! We have a hell of a tight knit community here on ARC. People here go out of their way to help each other out, and not just with modeling issues, but with life issues as well. Just about anything you care to mention. So, when someone takes advantage of someone else’s good nature here in ARC, well that just makes by blood boil.
Brad-M
Jeff is a super great guy and has done some nice deals for me in the past, and is a great help at our local hobby shop. He has helped me with some foolish questions and I have a bunch of them. He dedicates himself 100% to our hobby, and to helping others who need it. I think B-17 Steve should come clean here and do the right thing, Come on Steve, contact Jeff and straighten things out with Jeff!! Cheers Brad
Paul T
Jeff, I just finished reading the "Steve" thread ,and I just have to comment. I`m still shaking my head in disbelieve......I mean really man!!!!! You must be one of the most patient people, not to mention trusting and kind of heart. I`m sorry you have to deal with "humans " of that nature. And to call you "BUDDY" several thousand times without knowing the meaning of the word or our monetary system.....SHAME on you Steve, now back to your rock from whence you came !!! <_< Paul T
Alvis 3.1
Well, always nice to see trusting people being done over, makes my heart just warm to the core..... NOT!!! Unbelieveable! B-17 Steve, you've been given enough rope...now pay the guy and let the matter move on, okay? Show you have some trace of human decency..... Alvis 3.
jbrundt
Good god! That guy (Steve) changes his mind more than a woman And he is the consummate beggar (judging from the emails you posted). You were way too nice to the guy. Helping out a fellow modeler in need is one thing but this guy blatantly took advantage of you and your generousity. Which is unfortunate because if someone in the future needs your help I wouldn't blame you at all if your were reluctant to give it. Jeff
Don
Good god! That guy (Steve) changes his mind more than a woman B) Was I the only one who ducked at the imaginary slap to the top of the head from that comment :( ? I guess it was just reflex action taking over :) :D :) . Very funny. Seriously though, I hope this situation get's ironed out. I have been on the receiving end of a great deal of kind offers for help and assistance from fine folks here on ARC and I hope that I have repaid others back with the same "no strings attached" gestures. So good luck to Jeff and I hope this all works itself out. Regards and happy modeling to all, Don
Buckshot 4
I've been watching this thread when I get the chance - But I just happened to notice yesterday that the culprit in question was reading this thread also! Now come on B17Steve, You obviously know that these posts are here, But I fail to see the post from you! Obviously you've committed the crime or you would've posted here well before this. It strikes me to find how gutless you are to defend yourself in front of your modelling peers on such a serious matter. Not only that, It makes it harder for buyers like myself to acquire all these good deals here, as traders are becoming more reluctant to sell. It's people like you Steve that help people like me in not getting these good deals. Shame on you! Good luck Jeff - I hope that you have success with this matter  My $0.02 Chris
Sabre
Mr. B17, Just do the right thing, unless your intention from the onset was to be dishonest. Have been following this thread for a while now and it would seem that you have no defense for your actions. Why not be a man, make things right & we'll all move on? Guest B-17steve
Tell you what Jeff. You want to bury the hatchet? Then respond to my emails will you? Jeff Dick
Just for the record, I have recieved no e-mails from Steve at all, since this little outburst. After what I have been through, I don't want one either. I've been managing my blood pressure just fine without them. I would look forward to dealing with anyone else from ARC, as you have all but one been very pleasant to deal with. Hatchet buried.......Jeff
