airmechaja
I've only built the full conversion from Isracast before the Kinetic or Hasegawa kits were released. I wouldn't recommend it. The resin wasn't very good. too much work. I've heard good things about the Kinetic kit, but I have my doubts.
gb_madcat_sl
I built a Kinetic one years ago. Not a simple build. Mark
DarkKnight
how is the hasegawa, any good tamiya conversions?
habu2
There are only two F-16I kits that I know of OOB, Hasegawa and Kinetic. I have both but haven’t done a side by side comparison.
Raptor01
I used a 1/48 Tamiya F-16C and the Hasegawa F-16I parts and scratched a two seater. Did WiPs on the boards, but Photo Bucket prolly will not link the photos. John
Fighting Eighty-Four
There is a great comparison build thread here: The photobucket hosted pics are gone, but you can still get a good feel for the comparison from the commentary, the OP was quite thorough with his analysis. From my reading of the thread, it seems the Hasegawa is a bit more accurate in shape and accessories and fits better, but the Kinetic has better detail, however is more work. So it appears there is no clear cut winner here, just depends on what each modeller prefers...
habu2
Whichever way you go the Isra books are an excellent reference.
