JackMan
I'm going to be trying CAM decals for the 1st time ( 1/72 scale). Does anyone have any tips or any pre-cautions to take? How well do they work with Gunze's Mr. Softer? Thank you.
phantom
They are normal decals that work just fine. I have never had a problem with them. No idea about Gunze products.
kurnass77
Jack, I used CAM decals in my F-100 (you can search here in the forum my building thread) using Mr. Mark Softer as usually and work just fine as phantom said. My problem was that some of the stencils was out of register, but this is another story... Gianni
JackMan
Awesome! Thanks guys I'm getting the CAM sheet that has F-14 decals for VF-33 'Tarsiers'. http://www.brookhursthobbies.com/Product-Detail.cfm?P=SKUCAM72024&N=10 Just a bit worried about the yellow star and yellow lightning bolt decals on the black tail. Worried that the black painted tail will have a "bleed through" effect against the yellow decals.
picknpluck
CAM Decals work well enough, and their yellow has enough opacity to work over black. Here is a build I did last year with CAM Decals. They can be a little fragile, though so be careful. Oh, and use your references--their paint and decal callouts can be a little suspect at times.
JackMan
That Tomcat tail looks great! That's all the validation I need. Even the red, blue, orange and green look nice & bright.
