VG 33
Hello Here is my most recent build with this 1/72 North American B-45A from Valom. This aircraft was from the 86th Bomb Squadron / 47th Bombardment Wing in 1954 at Sculthorpe RAF Station. The transfers came from a Caracal Models sheet and were very satisfactory. This kit is not for beginners and honestly one is enough. In the end the product is correct and will be published next month in the French magazine "Avion de combat". southwestforests
Ended up looking nice. model railroaders call the steam to diesel changeover period the 'transition era' & the B-45 has its own 'transition era' look in the change from 1940s prop design to 1950s-1960s all jet designs. Falconxlvi
Great job on a limited run kit! I like the looks of the B-45!
Slartibartfast
Beautiful work. It was indeed a transition aircraft, built with conventional methods as a back-up for the B-47 in case swept-wing development was delayed. "... one is enough". That's funny! Thank you. Yes she is a nice aircraft to see as one of the first operational jet bombers. Patrick
