Hi Sean,

I must say I am by no means a specialist on the Black/ Pave/ Ocean/ Sea Hawk helicopters, but I have built both 1:48 Italeri and Minicraft Black Hawks and Pave Hawks. All builds went ok, but the detail on the Italeri imho is better.

I remember the troop seats on the Minicraft kit were completely wrong: four straight down legs on every seat, looked like a '50s kitchen interior. On the other hand: I didn't like the Italeri frontal glazing, which has quite an unusual parts break up.

Somehow I cannot help thinking that this subject must have been on the formum before, with so many '60 connaisseurs here. Have you tried a forum search?

thanks for the response! I'm leaning toward an Italeri kit...

And yes, I broke the all-forum golden rule of posting before searching... once I posted I did some more research.  Thanks again!
