F2H-1,2 Banshee Cockpit etc

Do any of you guys know interior colors of this jet. I’m thinking black with a green floor, pedals etc., seat structure black but no clue or cushions. I’m also guessing gloss sea blue gear wells with silver struts. Will you all clarify this for me?

Do a search for the Naval Museum's photo Banshee. The cockpit photos should pretty much reflect what the fighter's colors are. The museum did a good job of restoring the photo Banshee.

The interior of the Naval Museum's F2H-2P is all black, including the ejection seat. That isn't consistent with the cockpit paint specification of the time but it may not be incorrect. See http://tailhooktopics.blogspot.com/2015/04/cockpits.html

 

The landing gear was painted aluminum. The wheel wells were probably zinc chromate green. The interior side of the landing gear doors were red, another McDonnell peculiarity. See http://tailspintopics.blogspot.com/2012/10/painting-crush-points-red.html

That's an F2H-3 or 4, which was painted to a different cockpit standard.

The -4 and Photo versions are from the Naval Aviation Museum. The I can't remember the other one is from.
